My stay at the Glima Eco Lodge was an amazing choice and I wished I could spent more time here. Roshani and her husband are such an inspiring and lovely couple. They treat you like you re a part of their family and serve you one of the best food I ever had in my LIFE! The Eco Lodge is so beautiful, it’s very clean and so cozy. The lake is infront of you and you can hear beautiful sounds of birds. The fireplace and the environment is so relaxing and you have the space only for you! This is a brand new villa, very nicely decorated & comfortable. Surrounded by nature, you can spot many birds! The hosts are very nice, plus you can do safari with Leel and it's THE BEST! Really, we had an exceptional tour with him, skipped the crowds, and sunrise by the lake (no other jeeps!) was 👌🏻👌🏻 100% recommended!

The host is amazing! They help you with everything! Also The rooms are super. Airco and fan + multiple lights. And ofcourse a nice warm shower. We booked a safari tour with them and the driver is also The guide. He has much knowledge of the animals and has eagle eyes so he spots anything you are looking for. 10/10

The staff here are exceptionally good - the whole place is run by a very small team who seem to work very long hours but are always friendly, helpful and smiling. They somehow manage to keep everything spotlessly clean, make delicious food, organise trips and deal with any issues, and still have time for friendly chats with guests. I hope the owners appreciate what a fantastic and hardworking team they are, the hotel wouldn't nearly as good without them. This is an excellent place to stay for visiting both Udawalawe and Lunugamvehera national parks. We asked the hotel in advance if they could arrange these safaris for us and they sorted it all out at the price I'd have expected to pay. They also arranged for transport between the hotel and both our previous and our next destinations for a reasonable price. The food here is excellent - make sure you have the curry and rice, and the Sri Lankan breakfast (request them in advance as they need time to make them). The room was clean and very comfortable, with plenty of space and all the facilities we needed. It has a good view to the back of the hotel where you can see lots of birds, including some resident peacocks. It's very quiet in the rooms, you can't hear any noise from the road and there's good soundproofing between rooms. The small swimming pool was clean and had a few sun loungers around it.

I was choosing accomodation in Udawalawe very carefully becouse we wanted to have a really nice time there. Luckily I ended up with Wild Lake Side becouse this place is amazing! Extremely nice and friendly owner, amazing new room with spectacular river view, delicious dinner and great safari experience. We booked safari tour here and our driver was amazing! He did a really great job and thanks to him and his experiences, we saw many animals. I recommend to book 7 hours safari. We were worried if it is not too long but it wasn't. We had enough time to just watch animals and no rush like other jeeps with 4 hours safari and also had amazing breakfast in the national park which was one of the nicest memory. We regret we didn't stay longer.
