Very hospitable and lovely family. Nice room, delicious breakfast. Tea and snacks were provided, all freshly made. The children speak good english. I was there off season and although I was the only guest I had great company and good and interesting conversations with the family.

Saltanat is very friendly and chil person; she cooked buckwheat for me every morning since I do not eat bread. She helped me buy the air ticket from Bishkek to Osh with her CCard - mine does not work in KG. The room is spacious and sunny - with darkening curtains. The kitchen is tidy and clean. She needs to get a "strainer for sink" as some of the guests did not put the crumbs into the trash - but down / clogged the sink. She speeks more English than I speak Russian. However, she uses google translate when it is needed. Recommend to everybody.

    Kochkor is a central location with beautiful views itself...

    Kochkor is a central location with beautiful views itself and easy access to other places for hiking, horse trekking, etc. We only spent one night before a horse trek, yet we were able to meet all of our needs in Kochkor (got money, food, drinks, etc before setting out on our trek). There were multiple other things we could have done if we had more time.

    We arrived very late at night, but the hosts from...

    We arrived very late at night, but the hosts from guesthouse waited for us. The next day we were at the market/Basar and the busy center of the town which was just a very nice and exciting experience. The people there mind their own business and leave you alone, but ask for help here and there. But they are honestly helpful and concerned about you - to find the way, find a shop, find anything. We went horseriding for two days and asked first in the cbt office - but went with a different agency around the corner. Always good to check other offers ;) The food was good. Went into a local Cafe in the center,, housed in containers and it was crowded with locals - and yes the local food was very good and fresh!
