Location: easy to find, good access, close to train station, perfect for Haneda airport. Very clean. Excellent customer service. Quiet. Comfortable. The decor: looks overdone and even tacky in online photos but in person it looks great. Very cool, actually.

The location of the hotel was truly excellent. There was a Mega Don Quijote store right across the street, and another Don Quijote inside the plaza where the hotel is located. Besides that, it was in a very central part of Shibuya. However, if you plan to use the subway or arrive from the airport with luggage, walking from the station to the hotel might be a bit difficult, since it’s not right next to the station but about a 5–6 minute walk. I’d recommend keeping that in mind. The hotel was very clean, and the staff were very helpful. We had a few different situations with our luggage, and they assisted us every time. We honestly couldn’t find any negative points about the hotel. The only thing is that it was a bit expensive compared to nearby hotels. Also, the room was somewhat small. Did it work for us? Yes, because I kept the room very tidy. But if you don’t keep things as organized, you might feel a bit cramped with luggage. Still, it wasn’t a big problem.

It was a perfect stay for our family with 2 small children, since they could sleep in a small separate bedroom (futons) with a sliding door. This was difficult to find in Tokyo and it was the perfect solution for us. The location was perfect, great to explore Asakusa on foot and really close to the metro Ginza line. It was quiet and clean and personnel was very friendly.

FAQs about hotels in Tokyo

See It to Believe It!

The capital of Japan, Tokyo is a vast, teeming metropolis nestled between mountains and Tokyo Bay. It’s so huge that you’ll have to come to grips with public transport and maybe even experience being pushed onto a train. Yes, it does actually happen!

Get your bearings by ascending the Tokyo World Trade Centre near the waterfront, and savour the fantastic views taking in the red-and-white Tokyo Tower and Shinkuju’s skyscrapers. North is Ueno, home to the best museums (including the Tokyo National Museum) and a large park bursting with cherry blossom in spring.

Equally tranquil are the Chiyoda Imperial Palace and Gardens, surrounded by water. Also in gardens is the Meiji Jingu Shinto shrine in Shibuya, a youthful district where neon abounds.

For more traditional Japanese culture, head to Asakusa whose Sensō-ji Buddhist temple is Tokyo’s oldest temple. Markets in the grounds sell a variety of wares, though shopping in Tokyo is, of course, fantastic wherever you go.

Whether you stay in a Japanese ryokan, luxury Tokyo hotel or a hostel, don’t fly out of Tokyo Narita Airport or Haneda Airport without having tried sushi. Another Japanese institution is the sento (public bath) and onsen (hot springs bath) – a must try. Also incredibly popular are Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea, Asia’s 2 most visited theme parks.

The hotel location is about 10 mins from Tokyo, by Taxi, 1200/1500 Yen. There is not a lot to see of interest near hotel, so would need to "get out of town." This will create a problem if travelling by train, as ALL information at the station is in JAPANESE and no staffing to give assisstance. Eateries have a similar problem, as for many, both staff and menus english is not understood. Learning some basics of the language would go a long way in increasing your enjoyment of the country.

Tokyo is a fascinating metropolis with more to see and do than can possibly be achieved in the two weeks we stayed there. We will be back to see and do more. Whether you want to stroll its many beautiful parks, or take in the incredible museums in the Ueno area, enjoy fine dining or basement lounges, or party hard in the high-energy Shinjuku or Shibuya areas, Tokyo has something for everyone. Getting around is easy on Tokyo's famous rail system. Asakusa is great for shopping and dining; you'll never run out of variety.

Tokyo is a combination of every great city that you could think of and more! Harajuku is a balance between underground and luxury design. The inner streets have all of the smaller shops that made the area popular. Residential areas are walkable and quiet despite all of the tourists. Tourist could get overwhelmed at first glance but after a day or two, they could navigate the many interesting alleyways like a pro! There's everything from themed Cafe's, fast food, to intimate spots to grab a bite and a drink so don't forget to look up! you might miss a hidden gem!

Tokyo always makes a great trip, its just a place that is like no other. Going alone or as a pair is the best way to experience Tokyo. Group trips can be exhausting, especially with kids. Most of Tokyo is not kid/pram friendly as Tokyo is a ground up's world with streets and train stations built for the fast moving people. Tokyo is also a city that cant often provide for large groups (space and seating), there is no capacity for groups larger than 4 that but can some how still make that work with extra effort. Tokyo is still a friendly city with so much to do and food to experience. Yes you do need basic Japanese as the younger work force do not simply speak english, a translation tool is your best way to communicate. If I was to choose Tokyo vs New York city, it would be a close call with Tokyo being a safer and cleaner place.

We loved the location, very close to lots of restaurants, lively nightlife and lots do to in the area. You get to experience the shinjuku nightlife, with walking distance to lots of restaurants, bars and arcades, the Godzilla statue, and easily accessible to Shibuya and Harajuku by train. The staff were lovely and helpful, hotel room was clean and cozy. Small but equipped with a nice bathroom and shower that comes with a separate bath tub. It was great that we were able to store our luggage there for the day of check out as well.

Excellent option to stay in Tokyo. Very good located, at just 5 minutes from Shimbashi station and very close to the heart of Ginza. We didn't want to stay in the too busy Shinjuku or Shibuya but still be close to the main attractions of Tokyo, and we got it. The hotel is good, they have a 24hr gym and the personel is nice and supportive. We stayed here at the beginning and end of our Trip and they keep some of our luggage for free, allowing us to travel to other cities without all the luggage. Totally recommend it.

Stayed twice at this hotel during my holiday. The first time the room was on the small side, but on my second visit, the room was slightly bigger. The rooms were quiet. Breakfast had a good variety of food, although it was predominantly Asian, but there was some Western food. There was a great rooftop bar, with fabulous views of the city, with a happy hour each evening. It was around a 15 minute walk to Shinjuku station, which was a bit of a bind every day.

Very comfortable bed in a tiny room but everything was exceptionally clean and compact- to be expected in Tokyo. Did a lot of exploring and the hotel is very conveniently located 4 minutes from Ueno Station (for the Shinkansen) and beautiful Ueno Park and national museums. The area is really cool with very affordable cheap (and yummy) eateries. After visiting Shibuya and Shinjuku, the Ueno area is hands down the best place to stay.
