Blue lagoon is beautiful and definitely worth the trip.
Blue lagoon is beautiful and definitely worth the trip. We also liked Winifred beach and French man's cove. It's a shame that Summerset Falls were closed when we visited. But the jerk center in the middle of the town right after the main gas station was really good and affordable. We lived and worked in the community for several years so we don't have a tourist mindset. Port Antonio is going through a lot of changes. It is a crowded place in the town. They have a fine Craft Market with an excellent Seafood Restaurant just outside the town at the foot of East Bay. Inn The Town is amazing! I've stayed before but in the 3bedroom. I booked the 3bedroom there was a misunderstanding so we took 2rooms instead. Nick was very accommodating problem solve . There was a good included breakfast and the option to have evening meals. Alfio (the friendly Italian owner) is also a DJ and on Sunday evenings hosts a vinyl reggae revival sound system locally at nearby Drapers. This is well worth going to. The on-site person was very friendly and made things very seamless. The location was excellent, close to the town, and a few minutes from some nice free beaches. Both blue Lagoon and the Winnifred beaches were less than 20 minutes away. Both are a must go if you're ever in Portland.
