We LOVED this hotel!! What an absolute gem! The staff are fantastic, the room was tastefully decorated and the bathroom was beautiful. Having a small terrace and outdoor jacuzzi was magical - even in cold weather, it was refreshing! Watching the sun rise over the rooftops of Venice was stunning!

It is a magical city once you understand the best way to get around it. I have to recommend a fantastic restaurant close to P.Roma. It's called Venezia KMO Osteria. The food and the service was amazing and the location is right on the canal.

Venice is such an enchanting city and totally worth visiting for 2+ days - depending on what you want to do. Avoiding the tourist places and tourist spots is the key to happiness! Most tourists come in for the day between 11-4pm so plan things outside of that and during the day plan to go to spots where the day travelers are unlikely to go. There are a ton of amazing museums, neighbourhoods, adjoining islands.. it is what makes Venice unique for a city on the water!

Venice was a dream come true.

Venice was a dream come true. I've always wanted to visit the city built on water and cruise through the streets on a wooden speed boat. I was there 2 days and did it. I will never forget and would most likely revisit. A lot of people prior to trip said it smells bad. But I didn't get the smells they were talking about. The gelato remains the best in Italy no matter where you go. Most of the restaurants had good food except for one we sat outside right next to a canal. They had the location but food wasn't good. Have to definitely go away from the canal and busy area to get real authentic food. Shopping was reasonable and willing to work a good deal. I would stay away from the murano tour and go to the islands yourself so you can spend more time. Don't buy glass from where they make it. The store right next door was less. The 2nd island was just an old church and have to pay to use the wc and had some fast food there which could've totally been avoided. The fisherman island i would've spent most time to walk around and eat at of there many restaurants. I wish I took a street tour instead. The boat was crowded and only had 50min time on each island

Although incredibly busy with tourists (as expected), it is a great city to wander and enjoy the culture. Wished I had taken the time to go to some of the other islands like Murano or Burano. Maybe an extra 2 days would have been suitable as 1 & 1/2 days is not enough.

It was clean which is rare in tourist areas.

It was clean which is rare in tourist areas. There was a distinct lack of seating spaces in busier areas, but this is understandable where there is a lack of space especially in narrow walkways, so we sat on steps or the floor. I found the people to be largely rude and unwelcoming- no smiles, or even a hello when you walked into a shop or tourist location. The food was amazing and well worth travelling around Venice to find the best places. Some places do charge a mandatory service fee even if there are only 2 of you, which I find a bit cheeky.

Venice is a truly stunning city, a place where you can easily get lost in its beauty. Choosing to stay in Giudecca allows for a more relaxed and homey experience. Taking a boat to St. Marco offers the chance to see iconic landmarks and soak up the vibrant atmosphere. You can explore the canals and bridges, discovering hidden gems around every corner. This trip will make you fall in love with the charm of Venice.

The Sonder is located in a best part of Venice Dorsoduro, close to major attractions and easily reachable by vaporetto or on foot. Dorsoduro is a very bohemian but well kept part of Venice with lovely squares and restaurants, churches, not to mention museums. The hotel is very modern which is exceptional for Venice and maybe for Italy, with great facilities and lovely comfort. My room was big and everything was working perfectly, the safety box, the TV and the lights. The Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. I found the service excellent

THIS IS A BEAUTIFUL BOUTIQUE HOTEL, AND FOR FIRST TIME TRAVELORS TO VENICE IT WAS THE PERFECT LOCATION. IT IS IN THE HEART IF THE BEST PART OF VENICE, AND ALLOWS EASY ACCESS TO EVERYWHERE ELSE. THE ROOM IS BEAUTIFULLY SET UP, COSY, CLEANED DAILY, AND SPOTLESSLY CLEAN. WE HAD A SMALLER ROOM COMPARED TO OTHERS BUT IT WAS PERFECT FOR THE TWO OF US. THE STAFF ARE FANTASTIC AND HELPUL, AND WENT OUT OF THEIR WAY TO ENSURE WE WERE COMFORTABLE. I WOULD STAY HERE AGAIN AND AGAIN IF I RETURN TO VENICE.

A quiet and modern (for Italy standards!) 4* boutique hotel in a great location. We booked a standard double room which had a walk in shower (no bath) and overlooked the courtyard outside. Facilities were minimal (but what you would expect of a small hotel) Really helpful and welcoming staff - would definitely stay again!
