Manfredonia is a town with a pleasant sea port area that is popular with the locals and holidaymakers for evening eating, drinking and the "passegiata". This part of the Gargano peninsular is popular with the Italians for its (in my opinion) awful bathing beaches. Not too much else to do. However, from Manfredonia you can make a trip up an incredible winding road to Mont S'Angelo — a town with an ancient pilgrimage cathedral and castle, commanding a magnificent view of the bay. We got there by the local service bus (try Google maps for the latest timetable) but this is tricky without Italian. Manfredonia also has a Michelin guide restaurant — Osteria Boccolicchio — where we had an excellent lunch for a relatively reasonable price.Guest review byDavidUnited Kingdom - 6.0

The City has a beautiful historical center. Nice stores and restaurants. During summer time is very busy and hot. If you are looking for a magical special weekend for two or family, this in not the perfect place. The local beach is completely booked and all beach clubs don't have space for everybody. Manfredonia is geographically positioned on a flat surface with no trees and mountains. Summer can be very hot and humid even at night. No fresh breeze .Guest review byFabiana - 10.0

We stayed on The second floor in the Apartment with a terrace and it was really nice. Very spacious, great view of the harbour, the sea and the things going on down at the piazza- yet quiet in the night. Just a five minute walk to the nearby beach. Very fríendly and helpful lady who works for the agency and was allways available on the Phone. Several nice restaurants around the edge of the marina and an easy stroll into town to see the castle and other sights in the town. The boat was clean and comfortable and there was a small but pleasant deck for sitting out to enjoy the evening sunshine.
