The best location. Only a block from the Duomo and easy walking distance to other attractions and restaurants. Piazza San Lorenzo had really good restaurants and was just around the corner. The room was spacious and the beds firm and comfortable. Big bathroom as well. Breakfast was great and kept well stocked by the staff. All staff were friendly and happy to answer any questions.

There are so many positives to list. It is a small hotel that occupies part of a converted mansion in the heart of the historic city center. The hotel portion is completely modernized. The breakfast buffet is wonderful, and the staff become your friends.

    I spend 5 days here which is enough to see literally...

    I spend 5 days here which is enough to see literally everything. Some of the most important paintings and statues of the planet can be found in this city. I would rate Rome first, Venice second and Florence third in priorities. While Rome will stun you and Venice is cool, florence will have you enjoying your time and appreciate it's history. Plus is close to a lot more cool places like Pisa,Luca,Bologna etc.There isn't much night life but the quality of food and drinks is top notch and home grown as well. The tourists that are attracted here are niché and seem to appreciate the place.Even your average american there doesn't seem as ignorant and lost. Finally buy the firenze city card, saves you much money and you can get anywhere.

    The streets were very lively at night with lots of live music and kind people but not crazy loud, everyone was quite soft spoken. There was so much to do and see and it was all very close together not like in a bigger city.

    There are just too many things to see in Florence.

    There are just too many things to see in Florence. Choose carefully and do your research. It can be very busy and congested, and you may find it difficult to hear or understand your guide. That said, the museums and palaces are truly wonderful. Restaurants and Gelateria are everywhere. For me, the Best ice cream is at La Gelatiera in (street) via Dei Ginori - check it out. Palazzo Pritti is a must see.

    We stayed about 1.5km from the centre of Florence (Santa...

    We stayed about 1.5km from the centre of Florence (Santa Maria del Fiore). This was an easy walking distance to many things, and easy to catch the tram. FYI the tram is easy to use, buy a ticket at the tram stop €1.70 and then ride it as much as you want for 90 minutes. Be sure to validate the ticket when getting on the tram. Food is fantastic, if you eat furter away from the city centre you wont be charged tourist prices. And say no to water at restaurants, it's over priced, stick to wine and beer.

    Lots of culture, including world class museums and wine tours. Brilliant trip across the Arno as well with a violinist playing. Plus Florence is a great starting point to teach other destinations in Italy. Plenty of places to eat as well

    Of all the places I have been in Europe Florence is the best. Loved the Cathedral and dome . Walking the streets and cafés was great. There is so much to do, and you never get bored. Loved the Leonardo de Vinci interactive museum and the mid evil bridge with all the stores. The only thing that was negative was the noise at night and sound of glass getting thrown out in the morning. Lone J

    It’s one of the best houses where I stayed in Italy! It’s in the very beautiful territory where you can feel the Tuscany nature despite the fact that you’re in a city. The house is very beautiful, spacious and clean. There are so many small details that make you feel that you’re home and not in the hotel! The owner is very friendly, helpful and nice person. The house is good connected with the center of city, and it’s not far. For us it was a pity that we booked it’s only for 1 night, we would stay there more!

    This was our best stay in Italy! So happy to have stayed here, it is a very chic and modern hotel with all the bits and pieces. Feels like a 5 star experience, well priced and so central. Staff are lovely, rooms are immaculate, ans bar is a real vibe. We would stay here without hesitation next time we are in Florence and we are pleased to hear they are opening more locations across Italy. This is the place you want to stay, it is in a prime location and you will enjoy the stay as it hits all the marks 10/10.
