The owners have thought of everything for their guests comfort. The cottage looks deceptively small outside but is amazing inside. The panoramic windows in the living room have incredible views down the valley. Although it is in a fairly remote location(the nearest town is 20 minutes away), it is just off the main ring road around Iceland. Don’t be worried about road noise. The road is not that busy and you can’t hear a thing inside the house. The kitchen is fully equipped - there’s even a dishwasher. There are other accommodations on the property but nobody bothered us.

The host and the hostess are so kind to let us stay in the big apartment. The room looks much greater than pictures on Booking.com. There are two lovely border collies who are the most enthusiastic creatures in the world.

The cottage lies in an amazing valley with very little light pollution (we could even see the aurora at night!), and the location is shared with other studios for guests and the owners with a very cute dog. The studio is small but essential and we particularly loved the atmosphere and the position of our stay, really far away from everything!

Everything was perfect! The cabin was impeccably clean and well-organized, and the host was incredibly friendly and attentive. The location is excellent for viewing the Northern Lights—I was lucky to witness an incredible show. Even though I booked just 30 minutes before arriving, everything was ready for me. Free parking and is in a very quiet area near the river and in the middle of the mountains. It’s very beautiful in the morning when the mist is covering parts of the mountains. It’s natural. The location is not very far from Blonduos which restaurants and other amenities are.

This property is 6 km from the Route 1 Ring Road. Free slippers, a bathrobe, and use of the summer outdoor swimming pool in Hótel Húni's rooms.
