My stay at the guesthouse was a bit of a mixed bag.
My stay at the guesthouse was a bit of a mixed bag. On the positive side, the self-check-in process was a breeze, and I was pleasantly surprised by the level of cleanliness and the spaciousness of my room. The facilities, including the WiFi and kitchen, were top-notch, and I had no complaints on that front. However, there were a few quirks that left me feeling a bit unsure. The surrounding farm was somewhat peculiar, but I must admit that I'm not exactly an expert on farming, and I didn't book this place for its agricultural charm. The absence of any human interaction with the host was a tad disconcerting. It might not be everyone's cup of tea, and a friendly welcome or some local insights would have been appreciated. One noteworthy detail was the water quality, which had a distinct sulfur smell. While this might be normal for the area, it would have been helpful if the host had mentioned it beforehand. In summary, the guesthouse had fantastic facilities, but the lack of host interaction and the peculiar farm surroundings left me with mixed feelings. Plus, a heads-up about the unique water scent would have been a considerate touch. However, all in all, good to very good value for the money.Guest review byThomas

However, the rooms were comfortable for our purposes. The rooms were well cleaned. The bed was quite comfortable. The provided breakfast was very good with lots of typical Icelandic options and choices more familiar to a Canadian. The staff were welcoming. There was heaps of space for our bags and cold weather gear. (We had a lot) Breakfast was very good, in a basement dining room that was decorated with heaps of memorabillia. The only difficulty is that the wifi signal in this part of the world is variable and their well-timed messages had not arrived by the time we got there.
