Excellent location for a night's stay if you have an early morning flight or if you have a rental car to return to the airport in the evening. After too many soft beds during the week, Aurora's beds were just right. Breakfast is served from 4:30 already. Good sound isolation of the rooms, didn't hear any noise from the airfield.

The breakfast was very good and starts early at 5 a.m., so if you hire a tour with a pickup point in the capital, it is giving you an excellent window to move around! Staff is very friendly and the room was very clean! Loved it!

    We chose to stay here on our last night in Iceland, for the convenience of the airport. It was really good, a very easy 10/15 minute drive, with no traffic or weather worries so was well worth it! Its close to blue lagoon too so you could go there, but it was fully booked for us so we drove up to Sky lagoon instead to soother our aching muscles! Has a hot tub which we didn't use as we had been to the lagoon but would have been a nice way to finish off especially as we were treated to a great Aurora display.. a fantastic way to bid farewell to Iceland! Very well equipped and nicely furnished. The only slight negative if we were staying longer is the walls were a little thin in the semi detached and you could hear next door at times, as they had a full house, so I would opt for the detached for privacy but fine for us for one night.
