The cottage is an absolute gem nestled in stunning natural surroundings. It's a perfect retreat for those seeking tranquility and solitude. We absolutely loved our stay. The hot tub was a delightful touch, and the cottage had everything we needed for a comfortable visit. Solid hotel in the golden circle. Although the check-in works automatically (got an email with the room number and access code (which they change daily)) there was a person at the reception during afternoon/evening. The hot water doesn't smell of sulfur. Nice hot tub

    I have driven through on numerous occasions but never stopped. I was pleasantly surprised by the place. Lovely view of the lake adequate local facilities close by and only a half hour drive to Geyser and Gullfoss.

    Laugarvatn is in an excellent location between the national park to the west, and Geysir and Gulfoss Waterfall to the east. It has a beautiful view of the lake and the surrounding hills, a few restaurants, gas, and plenty of lodging.

    The staff are the most nice and helpful people I've met so far in Iceland. The place is beyond clean and comfortable. Amazing location with great views and a high chance to see the northern lights! I loved everything about it!

    Lovely hotel, our cabin was beautiful. Decorated with some lovely homely touches and pictures of the farm animals. Cabins were lovely and warm due to under floor heating. Food was delicious and the ice cream was so good!
