Location was perfect for a stop on our long road trip. We had a lovely view of the fell at the front of the hotel, cute cosy room with a living room that had shared facilities. Staff were lovely, and helpful. Great to have the restaurant downstairs. Would stay again!

Great for those who prefer to taste real life in icelandic contryside staying on the farm with personal contact to farmer than to take 5-star hotel in the city. We enjoyed full comfort of accomodation (clean, comfortable, spacefull, with significant imprint of personal dedication of Magnus and his partner Selina) as well as having a beer with Magnus, the owner, learning a lot about the life on the farm and horses. We also had a great horse ride around. Special bonus was the outdoor hot bath tub with magnificient view over the valley and waterfall just beside.

It is definitely a great find. The place is super comfortable and cozy. The bathroom was especially well furnished/decorated. Huge kitchen. The owner is working on further expansions, which I think will be pretty cool. He is also very friendly. Honestly, it was way better than some places we stayed that charged twice the price.

In Midfjordur, midway between Reykjavik and Akureyri, is Hótel Laugarbakki. Stay close to one of Iceland’s best salmon rivers and the natural hot springs, which heat up the entire community.

There was a bad smell from the toilet in the first room but they gave us a free upgrade immediately. Very nice hotel. I will go again.

The best stay during our vacation in iceland! The view was absolutely amazing, since the cabin isnt far from the shore. The hosts were very friendly and welcoming. The interior was very well thought out, the kitchen was nice and had everything you would need. There were 2 bedrooms and a spacious bathroom. Overall, our stay was very nice and I would say this was the best stay during our entire trip around iceland. Thank you very much for having us!

My father and I had a lovely stay at Palinas guesthouse. The stay definitely exceeded my expectations! The house was huge, very comfy and clean. The hot tub was a plus :) no doubt I’d recommend this place if you, like us, are looking for a place to stay while driving through the beautiful landscapes of Iceland.

Nice place with a great view. We knew there wasn't a kitchen so we prepared a cold diner and enjoyed the view. One of the best stops of our roadtrip of 2 weeks with 2 children.
