We enjoyed the cabin we stayed in. The bedding was very nice and the kitchen perfectly stocked with dishes. The playground was fun. The office sells some camping supplies. Hofn is great, quiet and cosy, but I believe that staying in the nearby villages is even more comfy. The town has a few great restaurants, a really wonderful little pool with hot tubs. We loved this town and wish we had been able to stay 2 nights! It was rainy and foggy during our stay so could not really see the full beauty of it. We went to the tourist information center and were greeted by a very helpful women. We booked a family room and the space is alright and the facilities is just acceptable. The cabins were constructed next to a some kind of a truck workshop and the reception is 1km away. Tucked away in the middle of nowhere along the Ring Road, it’s the perfect spot to unwind, with a cozy and authentic atmosphere. The food was a delightful surprise—delicious, hearty, and made with care, making us feel right at home. The rooms are comfortable, and the glacier views are simply breathtaking.
