I have come vellore for the treatment at the well known hospital CMC. There are tourist places around like Tirupati, Narayani golden temple which can be visited in a day or 2. There are other places which can be visited like Mysore, kodaikanal etc in 3-4 days. I felt vellore is in center to visit tourist places nearby. The nearest railway station is Katpadi. At beginning time the hotel authority took all 14 days money in advance but I left hotel 13 March (8 days ago) because of transferring father's treatment from Vellore to Chennai.
