I had a great experience at this homestay. For the price, it was well above expectations. The rooms were hygienic, the linens were clean, and the staff was courteous and helpful throughout the stay. One of the highlights was the terrace space, which is perfect for small group gatherings or casual get-togethers. Overall, a comfortable and affordable option that offers excellent value for money. Would definitely recommend!

"We had a wonderful stay at Cliff Vista by Saash Hotels, Varkala. The hospitality was warm and welcoming, and the rooms were very comfortable and well-maintained. Ample parking is available on the property, which is a big plus. The beach is just about 1 km away, easily accessible by bike or a short drive. The location is peaceful, perfect for couples, families, or groups who want a calm and independent space. Highly recommend!"

What an amazing stay it was! 1. View and Location - This is located in the quietest part of oddayyam beach. private access to the beach, day and night. The view you get in the morning just outside your room will be surreal!! Surroundings are completely quiet. This is right next to maadthil homestay. 2. Value for money - Not overvalued. Worth every penny you pay. Superb surroundings, room service, wifi access, smarttv options, room amenities provided. 3. Lovely, Sweet and Welcoming host - Abhilash is very amazing person. Hospitality was good. Provided us with all information, contacts for vehicles, transfer, kayaking, mangroves etc. Also provided space for our luggage when we had a late checkout scenario. 4. Rooms - Hygienic and clean rooms. Bed spread, pillows, washrooms are all well maintained. Hope they keep the same level of hygiene consistent. 5. Peaceful vibes - If you stay here your mind will be refreshed. That is what i can say!!! completely peaceful vibe! Overall an amazing stay. definitely recommended for friends, family and couple who are on a vacation in varkala.

We stayed for 3 nights at Utopia. Ivana and her daughter are absolutely delightful. The house is very clean and decorated with taste. The ambiance is very peaceful overlooking the rice fields (5mm tuk-tuk ride from the cliff) We highly recommend staying at Utopia if you are looking for a peaceful gateway with a beautiful yoga Shala for morning practice. Tiny Temple is a rare gem set back from a quiet section of 'the strip' close to Black Beach. Swati, the host, couldn't be sweeter. He was really helpful and made us feel completely at home. The location and view from the rooftop/deck is unbeatable and the price was totally reasonable (we were there just before 'high' season). New Wifi is being installed which will be the cherry on top! Another perk was the fine folks at Elina's Clifftop Restraunt (next door) who were really accommodating and even offered room/rooftop service. My daughter and I took a risk on a spot without reviews and in this case we're so glad we did. Can't recommend it highly enough.

    It is a beautiful place with plenty of beaches, greenery, small town shops, water sports and the most beautiful mangroves. There are also nice places like the Jatayu Park and the Shri Narayana Guru Samadhi and ancient temples that are a treat to visit.

    Beautiful views worth seeing.

    Beautiful views worth seeing. However most visitors are rowdy which affects the comfort of people seeking a more down to earth experience. Restaurants often out price locals and cater to Western tastes; they seek a specific type of well put together, middle or upper class traveller. Monsoon season is likely a more relaxing time to be here with less rowdy visitors from out of town/state. Little cleanup efforts for the beaches. Bad sanitation and waste control. Waste burning unfortunately normalised.

    The beach was awesome, the water temperature and calmness of the sea making it perfect for swimming. Varkala itself had plenty of options for eating at any budget level and the people were friendly, helpful and generally very honest in their dealings with tourists. The temple was especially interesting for us and was mostly open to non-hindus to walk around its grounds.

    Large beach with fabulous turquoise sea and big waves with some sun beds down one end if wanted . Lovely views and sunsets. Busy lively area ( we were there just after Xmas/ new year ) with many restaurants and shops along the cliff side. No beach hawkers on beach which made a change . Not really suitable for young children or people with mobility issues as big waves and steep steps to beach . We ate at costa del mer which had good European food if you feel like a change from the standard Indian food and was really excellent for breakfast as well as other meals . There are also cheaper good more traditional Indian restaurants just off the main drag . Roof top sky bar great for sundowners overlooking beach .

    North cliff is a perfect place to stay in Varkala as it has lots of good cafés, cliff and a beach. Music goes on till midnight during the weekend. Also, do cover Munroe Island a peaceful boat ride in mangrove forest.

    Really nice and well-kept hotel. Probably one of the cleanest hotels I’ve stayed in, in the whole of India. Rooms are spacious. Everyroom has a balcony with comfortable chairs. It is near the main Varkala Beach and strip of restaurants Rs but isn’t noisy. The hotel staff are welcoming and friendly. I was offered the chance to explore the local market but didn’t fancy it - but the option is there. The cafe onsite is good too.

We loved the location-set in Odayam, about a 15-minute walk from North Cliff—close enough to Varkala, yet far more peaceful.
