A Blissful Retreat at Anandam Stays, Vaikom Our recent stay at Anandam Stays in Vaikom was nothing short of delightful. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warmth and genuine hospitality by our wonderful hosts, Mr. Binu and Ms. Renu. Their kindness and attention to detail made us feel right at home. The homestay is nestled in a serene and lush green setting, perfect for anyone looking to relax and reconnect with nature. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully arranged with traditional touches that reflect the essence of Kerala. A special mention must go to Surendran, Rathi, and the rest of the staff, who were incredibly courteous and always ready to help with a smile. Whether it was arranging local experiences, serving delicious homemade meals, or simply engaging in warm conversation, they made every moment memorable. Anandam Stays truly lives up to its name – it’s a place of peace, joy, and heartfelt connection. Highly recommended for travellers seeking an authentic and soulful Kerala experience.

Location and layout of the hotel, Looks great from photos, but quite Run down property and staff need more training on the hospitality side. Gym machine are all written and rusted, dont even bother going there. Swimming pool in a poor condition.

This place is amazing. Its a little own oasis within beutiful small houses and a pool that is just stunning. The staff are soooo friendly and advice you in the right direction with the chioces for daytrips and backwater sightseeing. Honestly, the personalle seem to have very fun at thier jobs which also reflects in thier service. Also the bathroom in the hut without seaview is amazing. Loved it all!

This is the most exquisitely renovated traditional house, now a boutique hotel with two bedrooms. The love and attention to detail that went into the building, as well as how it is run on a day to day basis make this a very special place to stay. Vinod is the consumate host, a perfect manager and wonderful person. His passion for the property is evident in every little thing he does. The owner's kindness to us when our travel plans were thrown into disarray at the last minute was incredible, and much appreciated. I can't wait to go back!

The property is located at the Backwater with a stunning view. It is exceptionally clean and the staff is very very attentive. The cleaning happens almost throughout the entire day, very meticulously. At the reception Ms. Deepthi is very supportive and guides very properly regarding the local places to visit. Thomas who is a room attendant is also very very attentive. The food also is very tasty and fresh fish are served here. All in all this hotel gives an experience of living in a 5 star.

    Didn't see much of the main part of Vaikom but did walks...

    Didn't see much of the main part of Vaikom but did walks around the homestay. Visited a Temple and was lucky enough to see a ceremony which involved drumming, dancing, elaborate make-up and fire. There is a Ghandi memorial park to see which is very interesting.
