Such a beautiful and peaceful location. After a week I didn’t want to leave and could happily have stayed a month. The owners and staff all incredibly kind and a joy to be amongst so many Monks living and breathing Tibetan Buddhism with such warmth and friendliness. Lots of opportunities to visit the 2 main temples and sit in the back while practice is going on. Close enough to Bir, about 15 min drive or a 90 minute walk along a peaceful road through the forest. Food at the restaurant attached seats delicious. Will be back.

A perfect central location but off the main road makes for a peaceful stay. the proximity of the monastery adds to the sence of calm. The private rooms are clean and much higher than the standard in Bir in general. I will be returning for a long term stay.
