I stayed here on a solo trip for 5 days and it was the best choice I made. The location is great as it’s right in the middle, so trips to the restaurants and scuba centers as well as to all the beaches became super convenient, everything within 10-15 mins away. The hospitality and personalized experience made this place feel less hotel, more home. The staff and the managers were very warm and went over the top to make sure I am comfortable and happy. I was doing a scuba course during the time and would wake up at 6am so they would prepare a breakfast bag for me beforehand. The little things made this place special. I was there during a cyclone and not for a moment felt uneasy, as they all made me feel so secure. The aesthetic of the place is also gorgeous. You can see how every little thing is done with utmost care and passion. The service dog Bruno stole my heart. I would definitely recommend this to all of my friends who choose to visit the island, and I’m glad to have found my go-to resort for the next time I visit.

The owner took good care of us during our stay. Helped us plan our day on our short visit to Havelock. It's the only place in Havelock which gives you a warm and comforting vibe. If I ever plan to visit again, I'm surely staying at Wild Orchid :) Ohh and lastly don't forget to try their signature muffins from Fat Martin. Absolutely scrumptious !

The staff is welcoming and helpful. The rooms are big and clean. The breakfasts are tasty and plentiful. The location of the homestay is perfect - a side street in the center of the island - shops and a few beaches and great restaurants are close on foot. For the more remote beaches it’s all within 10-20 minutes by a 2-wheeler. All the switches are labelled so as a guest you don’t have to guess or remember which button does what. There are even privacy screens on windows so passers by do not peek into your room. It’s the most pleasant stay we’ve had in India during our 3 week trip.

We loved everything about this place. Especially how caring and helpful all the staff were. We needed some special care as we met with an accident, and they did everything they could to make us feel supported and comfortable. Special thanks to Selma, Akhil and Indrajeet! Indrajeet was sweet enough to accompany us to the beach with the wheelchair and was very attentive. The rooms are gorgeous, and the beach attached to the property is heavenly - the best beach in Havelock according to us, with turquoise waters and soft sand. Additionally, they pay great attention to reducing single use plastic - they provide wooden combs, toothbrushes, and razors, and toothpaste tablets - things that aren't commonly found in hotels. Overall, our experience at Tilar Silo was exceptional.

    One can stay here for 2-3 nights depending on the mood and the weather. Overall I enjoy the rains and hence I stayed in Andaman for 5 nights. I'll definitely stay in Havelock for 3-4 nights on my next visit.

    Loved the island and the choice of beaches, restaurants, cafes etc. The scuba diving was out of this world, a wonderful asset. Top marks for Scubalov and their team, so professional. Would love to see better litter control in various places around the island.

    Havelock has the best beach of the country - Radhanagar.

    Havelock has the best beach of the country - Radhanagar. It also has amazing options to do watersport activities like snorkeling, scuba and seawalk. Radhanagar is best for sea bathing, while the Kala patthar beach is insta-worthy for pics. You get some of the best sea food options here. I have visited Havelock four times, and I am sure I'll go there again.

    positives- Beautiful beaches..Clean water,,,white sand Negatives- Expensive with little infra - so not sure if its value for money. Watersports are costly and I am not sure how safe it it...not very well organised. Opt for Maldives if bit more budget :)

    We wanted to do the scuba anf snorkeling which we did and was the most exciting part of our trip. We also enjoyed the evening in Radha nagar beach. The main road ie Vijay nagar road is very nice to take a walk in evenings and we went for dinner nearby. The beach front at ShangriLa resort is awesome. Though not suitable for swimming. But one can take a walk in mornings peacefully

    Very nice island, lovely beaches with natural habitat but shame that the locals are not better handling the rubbish. Such a lovely beaches with rubbish on them, it could be paradise if it was regularly cleaned. No snorkeling off the beach.
