The receptionist is really the best, whatever I asked or needed, he organized it like a magician. It was all so easy and quick whenever I expressed what I needed (transport, train tickets, etc) The property is very nice and beautiful The rooms are really large Breakfast is delicious

Our 3rd trip to India, in 7 years and this has been a real gem of a hotel to find, geat value. ALL staff were excellent -friendly, professional, and helpful. Cleaning was immaculate. Even outside on the rooftop was clean, which is hard in the dusty location. Mattress was amazingly comfortable. Powerful shower and large fluffy towels - perfect. Quiet in a noisy locale. Special thank you to Poorva on front desk, she is amazing, helping us arrange a diver to sightsee, extending our stay, answering the phone, attending to other guests - multi-tasking genius and all with great efficiency and a smile, a real star at the hotel. Thank you also to the manager for making us feel welcome. Keep up your wonderful hospitality.

We were pleasantly surprised when they graciously upgraded our room to a ground-floor haven, which made things incredibly convenient for my elderly father. Their assistance with a wheelchair was not only appreciated but showcased a level of service that sets Taj Usha Kiran Palace apart. A special shoutout to Mr. Bhavesh, who took it upon himself to arrange a delightful walk for my father. His commitment and dedication to ensuring our utmost comfort were truly commendable. Ms. Aarushi's personal touch in organizing a drawing and coloring activity for our kid added an extra layer of warmth to our stay. The culinary delights served were a feast for the senses - the food and tea were beyond delicious. Our rooms were not just accommodations; they were cocoons of comfort, with beds so cozy that every night was a restful retreat. Ms. Riya, always at our beck and call, ensured that our requests were promptly and efficiently taken care of. The ambiance of the palace is nothing short of regal. With two temples within the premises, the atmosphere exuded peace and spirituality, making us feel like Maharajas in our own right. The room was very clean, better than in the pictures. Even if it was too hot, the temperature in the room was kept with the fan and the AC. And it is a new property, very well isolated. The area is safe, and there are very good restaurants nearby. The swimming pool was wonderful after the long day traveling. Breakfast in the morning was very complete.

    There are many rockcut Jain monuments around the Fort in...

    There are many rockcut Jain monuments around the Fort in Gwalior and it is difficult to find out where they are. I found out too late that there were more than the Urwai rockcut sculptures. However, asking people protecting the monument on the road up to the fort, we had time to visit another spectacular site further down the hillside. They are all magical - so sad that muslims/ moguls have defaced many of them. The fort itself, along with the temples outside the fort, were outstanding - beautiful carvings and, in the case of the fort, colourful facades. Fort is sadly a bit run down. Just below the fancy gate by the palace is the Jain rock-cut temple with "0" in an inscription - pretty little temple. Tansen's tomb was also a lovely site. Plenty to see for 2 days. I need to go back to see the remaining Jain rock cut monuments as our driver couldn't find them.

Start with Gwalior Fort Keep 1.5-2 hours for Gwalior Fort. 3 tickets of RS. 25/-= each ( 20/= if paid online ) ( If keen on Archaelogical Museum- you can pay Rs. 5 and adiitionally see ancient antiques ) One for Man Mandir/Teli Mandir / Sahastra Bahu Temple - State Ticket Second for Other Palaces, Jauhar Kund etc - Central Govt. Ticket Third Ticket for Gujri Mahal Museum ( It is downstairs when you get down the hill ) Sun temple - No fees , newly constructed Tansen Tomb/Mohd Ghaus Tomb - No fees Jai Vilas Palace Museum - Rs. 300/= ticket 1-2 hours visit duration. Railway Station is in city centre Park Inn Hotel is opposite the station. DB City Mall is opp the Railway Station. Taj Usha Kiran Hotel is 2.8 kms from Station.

    HOTEL WAS CLEAN AND AT GOOD LOCATION. STAFF GAURSV, RAVI SINGH, RIPON - HOUSEKEEPING, SANTOSH, ANIULYA, SARIM - DINNING ROOM, YASHWANT, RAVI, MUSKAN, KHBINO AND PRANMOD. RECPTION DESK JIYA, RIVYA, SAKSHI, LAVISHA AND SHAM ALL OF THEM WERE VERY GOOD WITH OTHER STAFF.

    Don’t miss the palace in the fort and the temple just outside the fort (saas bahu temple). Also make it a point to visit Mitawli and Padavali There is no public transport… best is to hire a cab for the day

    no tv channels/ all blocked/ upon my request staff declined to open channels/ escalated to Director and sake team/ then by nigh 10 pm they unblocked few channels like star movies and hbo/ otherwise only DD and Gubbare channel was there/ be careful when you stay here/ ask that TV has basic English movie and sports' channels else it will be surprises with big TV and DD to watch

    Gopagiri homestay in Gwalior is a hidden gem! The warm hospitality and cozy atmosphere made me feel right at home. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and tastefully decorated. The hosts went above and beyond to ensure a pleasant stay. Highly recommend for a peaceful and memorable experience! Use google map to reach. Our Auto guy took 150 ruppees to reach. Try using Ola or Uber from the station. All the places are near by. Stayed for 3 days at the homestay. Home food is a must try.

    We stayed for 2 days in this hotel. The room was clean and spacious, but half of the lights were not working and the shower door did not close properly so after the shower the bathroom floor was all wet. The beds are great. The hallway to the room had a terrible smell. The food in the restaurant was hardly average. The coffee (Lavazza!!) tasted horrible and a small cup of tea costs INR 400 which is outrageous. The staff is very kind, but we don’t recommend this hotel.

    Very hospitable hostess who made us feel more like true guests not hotel stayers. A great deal of thought and style has gone into this beautiful heritage home. All staff did their utmost to make us feel comfortable and at home. A peaceful courtyard and yet just outside the bazaar with all its fun and colour - perfect for us and a three-day stay in Gwalior.     Very nice hotel, situated right in front of the train station. Very professional staff, large and clean room with all amenities. Great buffet breakfast with lots of options, indian and continental. I would go again to this hotel on a second trip to Gwalior.
