The hotel is beautiful and right in the main city . Once you walk out the main road and all attractions are nearby. Rooms were spacious and clean. The pool was great too. They have a restaurant for food and beverages .Overall a good place to unwind

Lovely little hotel in quiet location near fields but only a short walk from the main Candolim road and beach road. Clean pool is a lovely touch. Spacious rooms with tvs, ac. Decent shower and comfortable furniture make this a great place for short or long stays. Be aware there is no food or drink available on site but shops are a few minutes walk away. Staff all very friendly and helpful. Bargain at the price we paid. Our room had sofa bed giving flexible accomodation.

Excellent stay in a nice and cozy atmosphere. Staff is very nice, location is also very good right in the heart of Candolim with lots of restaurants, bars and shops. Beach is an easy seven minutes walk. The place is highly recommended.

    If you are a vegetarian try the nearby Banana leaf...

    If you are a vegetarian try the nearby Banana leaf restaurant. The in house restaurant serves cocum beer and excellent food. We visited the Renuka temple in the village just behind the Ginger and the walk was refreshing. Newton's supermarket nearby is a great place to shop essentials. The taxi operators are very reasonable and offer their services smilingly. I think maligning campaign against them recently in the media was a conspiracy against Goa tourism.

    Candolim has a fair choice of 'big name' hotels to stay in.

    Candolim has a fair choice of 'big name' hotels to stay in. The main road has a choice of restaurants and pricing ranges from average to expensive. All conveniences can be found on the Candolim Main Road. Non availability of auto rickshaws (tuk tuks) is a disadvantage and one is dependent only on private taxis even for short distances,and they are expensive.

    Busy main street full of noisy traffic. Great beach with plenty of beach bars with their own free sunbeds. Food was always good. Not much entertainment on a night although there were many bars with singers singing to backing music. Superb sunsets each evening.

    What can you say about Goa - you love it or you hate it - we...

    What can you say about Goa - you love it or you hate it - we love it. The people the places so varied and vibrant - huge choice of places to eat and drink all at really good prices for top quality food. Our top three places to eat Mermaid Restaurant, Tuscany Gardens and Alexandra Restaurant - all brilliant with good food and service.

    The rooms were clean, spacious, and well maintained. The staff were courteus and flexible. We had all the amenities - large fridge, micro, kitchen sink, AC and fans, hot water and no power cuts! Clean bed linen and towels. The pool was very clean and well maintained. Beautiful garden too. Breakfast in an adjacent restaurant. They even gave us a complimentary 5 litre bottle of water every day! This is an excellent place to stay in Candolim. Central location and bus connectivity with key points in N. Goa.

    One of the best locations in north goa. Excellent helpful hotel staff, good house keeping staff ( especially Namdeo and ranjan) and vinod at reception desk. Nice breakfast with good varieties everyday to start the day. Overall this hotel property is good for comfortable stay in north goa near candolim beach which is very clean and less crowded beach ( around 80 meters walk from the property).

    Coming to Astor Goa is one best decisions we could have made. The ambience here is great but the best here is the staff so friendly and helpful . My son lost his phone the hotel staff were instrumental finding the phone especially Shailendra and Anuj. Could not have asked for anything more !

    The location of the property is good as it is in the centre of North goa and very near to candolim beach . Both the rooms we had one was a pent house and another was a normal one , were really good. Host Gulzar was helpful and cooperative enough.
