It was lovely to arrive in such a beautiful garden with flowers, peacocks and other wildlife. Staff was very friendly and the lodge was big and nicely decorated. Food during breakfast, lunch and dinner were excellent: a daily changing buffet of both traditional and innovatove dishes, made of super fresh ingredients from local farms. Excursions by local guides and boat 'safari' with a naturalist were very well done. Good ethical and community-based accommodation: they employ local people, empowering women and creating a caste-free safe space.

    Beatiful location on and around Chambal river sanctuary.

    Beatiful location on and around Chambal river sanctuary. There are also old heritage villages, an old fort and a small area at the river with several temples. Outside the lodge grounds, it is a very rural area, away from the busyness of cities.
