It was calming and quiet.
It was calming and quiet. Hot During the day but beautifully cool from the late afternoon until.the morning. There's enough to do for a few days stay. Good sources of food available from homemade breads, quiches, desserts and sandwiches to "al ha'esh to upscale. 2 1/2 hours drive from Jerusalem. The night sky tours are spectacular (except during full moon!) The MR visitors Center has a wonderful program, definitely worthwhile. Mitzpe Ramon has many unique features especially if you are a space enthusiast, thanks to low light pollution you can often see a shooting star. there are great extreme riding opportunities inside the creator. Mitzpe Ramon is magical.
Mitzpe Ramon is magical. You can enjoy a different view depending on the time of day. Make sure you get to see the sunset on the promenade and watch the mountains change colors. There are many trails - the easiest is to walk along the promenade. If you want to hike, make sure you take plenty of water and a good trail map. You can get info at the visitors center - which is well worth visiting. They have a lovely light show exhibition that explains how this erosion crater "machtesh" was formed. The campsite itself had a very cool, relaxed vibe. The facilities were all very clean and comfortable. The campsite had a small shop and bar. Breakfast was available but there was also a communal kitchen and BBQ area for self-catering. The bell tents were very spacious and very comfortable.
