We originally chose Thurles for its proximity to Cashel and availability of lodging within our budget range. Part of Saturday was spent touring the Rock of Cashel & Hore Abbey, a 30-minute bus ride from Thurles, If we would have known there was a Hurling event scheduled on Sunday, we would have stayed an extra night! We had a delicious selection of Thai food at YI THAI on Parnell St. The service was fast and friendly. The prices were very reasonable for the high quality of the food. Our second day we had a late lunch at Ryan's Daughter restaurant which closes at 5:30. Very clean and quiet and plenty of space to park.
Very clean and quiet and plenty of space to park. Helpful, friendly host. Location easy to find from main route and only a few minutes to town of Thurles. Ate at a lovely pub and used the ATM in town. Easy to park and walk around town. Host even let us play her piano.Guest review byJanetUnited States

There was a bath in the bathroom but a proper walk in shower should replace it, water from the shower got everywhere. The shower pressure was excellent but a hose shower would be much better. There are no lifts, I had a bad knee and struggled with the steps, anyone with a wheelchair would not be able to use this hotel!
