Beautiful home sitting on a lovely site next to an equally beautiful lake. Rooms were spacious, neat, and provided every amenity you could want. Breakfast was truly a feast with an abundance of choices. Perhaps best of all were the several common areas where a different groups of traveller's could meet to chat, relive the days activities, make plans and so on rather than retreating to their private rooms. If you are traveling with a group of friends or family this definitely the best lodging option you have.

The quirky but extremely thoughtful finishes. The amazingly well equipped and spotless kitchen for our meal prep. The comfy sitting room with plenty wood and kindling for a cozy fire. We stayed in the bunked railway carriage. Comfy beds with crisp good quality bed linen. The beautiful out door area the quietness the whirring of the watermill . In other words everything !

    Dunfanaghy is a beautiful part of Co Donegal with lots to do. The village itself has lots of bars, cafes and restaurants. We loved our walk through Lurgabrack nature reserve to Tramore Beach, one of the best beaches we have ever been too! Hornhead is a fabulous scenic drive and a trip to Marble Hill beach and Ards forest park are also worth a visit.

    Dunfanaghy is a fantastic Spot to holiday in. Lots of little restaurants like Lizzie's for great food (Seafood Chowder is a must!). We loved getting our walk around Horn Head and went for a little swim in the water at Marble Hill Beach. We visited for the Blues and Jazz festival.

    Beautiful part of the country. So much to explore.

    Beautiful part of the country. So much to explore. We had 5 nights and could have stayed longer exploring. Kids loved heading to beech even in evening after a day out. Was great to have a few options close by. Few nice places to eat. Some of local shops a bit dearer for groceries but that's to be expected in a holiday town. You won't go hungry or bored in Dunfanaghy. We had the car so got to explore further but still would have liked some more time. We were blessed with the weather but regardless its a beautiful part of the country rain or shine

    A beautiful spot with a wide beach and another down the road...

    A beautiful spot with a wide beach and another down the road which was very safe and ideal for children. A great choice of places to eat, mostly beautifully cooked food. Live traditional music in an informal setting.

    The house just outside Dunfanaghy was a great location for...

    The house just outside Dunfanaghy was a great location for exploring the area. The beaches were awesome but the weather wasn't good enough to make full use.....that's just how it goes....just means I'll need to go again. There were plenty of other things to see and do that kept us out of rain showers. The Wild Atlantic Way drive is amazing. Glenvaegh castle is well worth a visit and if it's dry that area would be great for walking. Evening in Dunfanaghy listening to traditional music in the pub was great too. Letterkenny good for a shopping trip.

    Extremely comfortable and the bed was one of the most comfortable I have ever slept in.Ursala the host was a lovely lady and nothing was too much trouble. The views were also lovely. Good starting point for visiting local area.

    We visited for a girls weekend and absolutely loved The Wee Bothy. There was ample space for 6 of us and the place is beautiful. We couldn’t believe a place like it existed in Dunfanaghy 🤣 We were lucky with the weather and got to sit outside in the lovely outdoor area. Lesley was super helpful and responsive to any questions I had - mainly where did she get the bedding as we were all obsessed at how comfortable they were 🤣 Highly highly recommend and we’re already thinking of excuses to come back!

    The property is in a great location just outside Dunfanaghy. The b&b rooms have an authentic feel with the stone corridors and a very nice lounge area. The grounds outside are beautifully done with pathways leading to multiple layers of gardens. A cute fairy trail has been designed for the children and there are stunning banks of wild flowers alongside a picturesque stream and all sorts of surprising nooks and crannies. Fantastic views from the top of the garden over to the sea.

    Comfortable house, spotlessly clean, well equipped and close to everything in Dunfanaghy. Lovely and warm with the option of lighting a real fire too which was great on wet October days. Aine was very helpful with any queries.
