I would recommend Zanzibar Locke for any traveler who desires a hotel-like experience in the city center of Dublin close to the "movida" The common spaces and private spaces were all well maintained with great amenities. The room was spacious, while there were some small improvements needed, you still felt extremely comfortable. All staff encounters were good. Specifically during our stay Silvia, Jamila, Kirstie, and Mauro were exceptionally helpful and pleasant people to talk with. They had great recommendations and know their city very well. It was a pleasure to meet them. Overall the experience was great and would be a place we could return too.

Hotel is well located with close access to the areas of interest while being far enough from any noisy areas. The Park closely is very nice and its not far at all to walk to areas of interest. Very good breakfast as well - Chef was really nice and so was the staff. Muffins are really nice - they will tell you this and they are right!! Staff at reception were also very kind and helpful

FAQs about hotels in Dublin

Great History, Greenery and Pubs

Dublin is home to more than a quarter of the entire Republic of Ireland’s population and was originally founded as a Viking settlement. A lot has changed from those Viking days, and Dublin is now famous for its literary history and the most green-spaces of any other European capital, making Dublin a real Irish gem.

Dublin Castle is at the heart of the city's history and Trinity College holds the renowned Book of Kells, a beautifully illustrated manuscript from circa 800 AD. The Ha’penny Bridge is the city’s most photographed landmark and the statue of Molly Malone celebrates the heroine of Dublin’s unofficial anthem.

Dublin is home to many important literary figures including Oscar Wilde, William Yeats, Samuel Beckett and George Bernard Shaw. As the famous location of James Joyce’s “Ulysses”, the city offers tours tracing the protagonist’s footsteps.

Being one of the most youthful European cities, Dublin has a vibrant nightlife scene with the popular Temple Bar area and plenty of bars and pubs, which invite you to stay out until the wee hours of the morning.

The Dublin Airport is the gateway to your Irish holiday, so whether you’re looking for a stylish hotel, a self-catering apartment or a trendy hostel, Booking.com has a perfect deal for your Dublin trip.

My wife and I booked 6 months in advance and could not find anything below 150. Next time we will know to pay over 150 for a nicer hotel room with bathroom. Of course Dublin city centre is expensive however we should have paid 150-200 to ensure we had a nice room, bed, bathroom and cooked breakfast. We enjoyed Temple Bar area, The Christ Church pub, Molly's Bar 101 Francis St and visiting the Dublinia with the 11am free tour.

Loved Dublin .. we bought a Leap Card for the Bus and just jumped on/off wherever it took our fancy. We ate at many different pubs and they were all great. Lots of things to see and do - Temple Bar area, St Stephens Green, Trinity College, Guiness Storehouse, EPIC Museum, Ha'penny Bridge. Find yourself a "local" - ours was The Confession Box .. great staff, great atmosphere, great Guiness! :)

Dublin feels like a very international city with tons of foreign tourists. It’s a very walkable city but also has good public transportation. We also were able to use the DART trains and buses to see sights outside the city. There is a lot of variety in restaurant types and so much live music in the pubs. The national museums are free. The parks and Botantic garden are beautiful.

Dublin is a great town, people are friendly. Most everything is in walking distance but, if not the bus was clean and usually on time, lots of taxis. Five days is more than enough time, we did take a day trip to Galway which was nice, but a 2 1/2 train ride one way.

Attentive staff, comfortable and spacious room, location convenient for events at AVIVA Stadium and also Dublin city centre. The hotel catered well to the event we attended with a late bar, late light bites food service, themed DJ playing that specific artists music to serve returning concert goers after getting back from the Stadium late at night. Really impressed, such a good vibe.

    - location was perfect, literally in the city centre of Dublin - room was spotless clean, very modern, we had beautiful view for the cathedral - considering it was city centre, the area around the hotel wasn’t noisy or dangerous, maybe we just got lucky - receptionists were very friendly - breakfast wasn’t big, but I think everyone could find something for themselves
