Solène and Stéphane are the best hosts you could ever imagine, they are bringing such a good energy on this pristine resort with magnificent view! Stéphane took us for a dawn patrol surf sessions with the quads, and spent a lot of time with us on the evening ☺️. We will definitely come back!

Staying at The Rua Room in Umarato Villa was an experience straight out of a dream. The moment I stepped onto the balcony, I was greeted by a breathtaking ocean view that stretched as far as the eye could see. The sound of waves crashing against the shore created the perfect soundtrack to accompany the stunning vista. But the real gem of this room was the outdoor bathtub nestled amidst the natural beauty of the surroundings. Immersing myself in warm water while surrounded by lush greenery and the soothing sounds of nature was an experience like no other. It was a moment of pure serenity and relaxation, allowing me to unwind and truly connect with the environment. The attention to detail in The Rua Room was impeccable, from the luxurious furnishings to the thoughtful amenities provided. My husband and I had the most wonderful honeymoon at Lelewatu Resort. Photos really don't do the place justice, you have to be there to fully experience the magic! The location was absolutely stunning, we felt like we were at the edge of the world. Our villa overlooking the ocean was hands down the best place we stayed in during our trip to Indonesia; the private pool was such a luxury, and the room was tastefully decorated and comfortable. It was so special to see dolphins from our room every day! The staff were extremely friendly, professional, and welcoming. They went above and beyond to make sure we had the best stay; we felt very safe with our excellent driver Rudy, the general manager Bagus personally picked us up from the airport, Wanto took amazing photos of our sunrise horse-riding experience, and Colin was always ready to greet us with a smile and interesting facts about Sumba. We had zero communication difficulties during our stay. The food was delicious, with plenty of options to choose from; we enjoyed both room service (particularly for breakfast) and also eating in the main dining area. We were able to fully appreciate Sumba's natural beauty and cultural significance in a short period of time (3 days) through the day trips organised by the resort, which were private and fully personalised; the staff were extremely flexible, and tailored the tours according to our interests and schedules. We couldn't have asked for a better stay on this unique island!

We were very grateful for the friendship in accepting us as part of our host ( lidia) family . The villas were excellent in that our view of the sea just outside our villa was stunning, relaxing and very comfortable . Our host is a fantastic cook and we enjoyed traditional Sumba food including locally caught fish . A great place to relax and absorb the local culture
