The perfect stay in ubud! The location was great, and a close walk to several museums and restaurants. The hotel was super clean and tidy, and the staff were super friendly. The facilities as well were great. Food was also exceptional.

We felt relaxed right from the moment we checked into the hotel. The hotel is surrounded by nature, a river and as a bonus a view of the monkey forest. Incredibly beautiful pool that we wanted to spend all day long by. The staff were very friendly and tried every minute to help us with every question we had. We can only recommend that resort.

I’ve been honeymooning through Bali over the last few weeks and was already impressed with the Balinese friendliness and affability but the Uma Kalai team took it to another level. Dicky, Gusti and Eka were incredible throughout our stay, going above and beyond to make us feel at home, paying attention to every minor breadcrumb we gave and transforming it into a warming detail that supercharged our experience and being the flag bearers of an amazing team. Just as an example, upon arriving after dinner, we mentioned that we would go to the Mount Batur sunrise hike later that day and would be leaving the room at 2AM. Within 2 minutes, the Uma Kalai team was delivering takeaway coffee cups to our room, so that we could take one of the complimentary coffee/tea on the go, and prepared a small fruit kit for us to take in our hiking. The room was amazing - the living room is perfect for in-room dining, the pool area is a must for relaxing and the steam room + outside tub combination feels like having a mini-spa available 24/7 - and the service was insanely swift - the team would clean and organize without us noticing. As for the hotel facilities in general, it is a safe haven from all the Ubud Central frenzy located just 10-15 minutes scooter ride away from Ubud Palace and Market. The restaurant, pool and lounge area overlook the rice fields and provided the perfect spot to relax and recover. We also made the most of the spa, enjoying their signature Uma Kalai massage which was top notch. Overall, we were in awe with everything at Uma Kalai as it was one of the best hotel experiences we’ve ever had.

Very friendly and kind owners and staff. Wonderful room with nice decoration which made me feel at peace. Loved the greenery surrounding the accommodation. Happy to recommend and will be back myself. You have also some shops, cafés around the place and within a few minutes with grab with a bike you are I the middle of busier Ubud center. All super.

I had a wonderful stay at Mathis retreat Ubud .The facilities were excellent, well-maintained, and exceeded my expectations. The rooms were comfortable, and all amenities were thoughtfully provided. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, always ready to help with a smile. A special mention to Operation Manager Ms. Ibu ningsih, who treated us with exceptional hospitality and professionalism. She went out of her way to ensure our needs were met, making our experience truly memorable. I highly recommend this hotel and look forward to visiting again in the future.

Everything about Fivelements is exceptional...The staff are extraordinary, the thread of love and service runs through the whole retreat and is palpable.
