If you stay here you will definetely get the whole local experience. You stay with a lovely family, their young son Toni welcomes you with a warm smile and you will sleep in their house. It‘s surrounded by beautiful nature and the have a lot of animals (cows, chickens and five super cute baby cats 🥹). Be aware that the shower is not a „normal“ western shower but that‘s absolutely no problem. All in all i loved everything about my stay with Toni and his family and would 100% recommend it to everyone!

The location is close to the park of Selong, where there is a night market. In front of it there was a bakery. The host is friendly, although because of the language we couldn’t communicate well.

The hosts were so welcoming and friendly and attentive. They couldn't do enough to make you feel at home and taken care of. The location is great, the room was clean and comfortable. It's also reasonably priced.

We really like the location, the view from cottage. You can directly see rice fields and you can also go down there. The breakfast was amazing, you can choose from a lot of options (omelet, smoothie bowl, ...) The young staff is so kind, helpful and very caring. In the cottage with panoramatic view, you can see Rinjani and rice fields, also you have open roof bathroom, which is so nice. The garden is full of flowers.

I had a wonderful stay at Bamboo Craft Homestay! Raja is a very welcoming host who truly enjoys sharing his knowledge of the area — he took me to visit some beautiful local spots and traditional craft workshops. We also cooked a traditional meal together, which was a really nice experience. The accommodation is charming and comfortable, nestled among rice fields and native plants, offering a peaceful and authentic atmosphere. I also highly recommend stopping by to try the food — it’s delicious!

The building is a marvellous traditional wooden building. The staff are wonderful. Beds huge and super comfortable. They have a gymnasium! They have lovely garden and great rice paddy views. The food was traditional Indonesian food and was excellent. Air con was great. Rooms are huge. The place is a real hidden little gem.

We had a truly incredible three days at the villa and with Abdi, who was there for us throughout our stay. The villa is beautiful, with a lovely view of Mount Rinjani if ​​you wake up early in the morning, as well as direct access to the rice fields. Everything is super clean and well-appointed. If you're looking for a truly authentic experience, this is the perfect place. From the moment we arrived, Zar and Ros welcomed us like members of their own family. Zar is funny and speaks good English, and his wife is an incredible cook — every meal and snacks was a treat (let’s say we ate way too much during our stay but holiday holiday 😂). Life with them is simple and genuine. Everything is included — three delicious meals a day, water, tea, coffee, and snacks — so you can just relax and follow the family's rhythm. One day, they invited us to join them and their extended family to the beach, which turned into an unforgettable memory. We also visited a local pool, I went to the barber with Zar and even got to see chicken fights. To fully embrace the experience, we recommend staying at least two or three days. It gives you the time to truly connect with the local lifestyle and the people. Our room was clean and comfortable, with a private bathroom. They even did our laundry for us, which was such a kind gesture. We had a wonderful time with this family and really hope others will have the chance to share in this special experience.
