There are quite a few places to stay in the area.
There are quite a few places to stay in the area. High end ones like Kommune and Desa Swan Villas are incredible but some of the more budget ones are almost as good. We already miss our large private quite friendly beautiful villa at Desa Swans!! # 16 is great!! And we just left today. A home away from home with a private pool!! We are now in a tiny beach hut with semi working air conditioning and semi poor customer service :( I don’t know if we will return to Bali but if we do we’d love to come back to Desa Swan. Keramas/Saba is a quiet seaside area with minimal development although this looks to be changing. The beach is black sand and not one you would want to laze about on. There is a lot if plastic rubbish at the beach access points. It is a surf beach. The area we stayed in, Saba, was quite isolated and you would be best to have your own transport. Dinner was very reasonably priced and many options. Alcohol as always in Bali is similar priced to Australia and wine is always at a higher premium.
