Plitvice lakes and park is a wonderful place to visit.
Plitvice lakes and park is a wonderful place to visit. Just the price for it is too high to my oppinion. And overcrowded as well. Also be prepared for a long or very long walk (deppends on route selected). Amazing national park with several options to experience it, depending on how far you want to walk. A combination of walking, shuttle bus and ferry will cover all the main sights (all covered in the ticket price). Get there early and see as much as you can - you'll be gobsmacked at the beauty of the lakes and waterfalls. There are a number of food outlets at the entrances and within the park if you can't bring your own. If you are staying in the area, there are a number of bistros and places to eat in the vicinity - but you will need a car to get around easily.Guest review byDamianAustralia - 10.0

Beautiful views, easy to get to the lakes by car, both the lower and the upper lakes are easily reached and really feels like an easy walk around rather than a hike. We tried to be there early to avoid the main crowds and I think it was a good strategy. What beautiful people are working there. There are a few animals at a petting zoo and my kids loved billiards. On sight restaurant always open is a plus. Great location for Plitvice park and one employee walked us through some options for visiting the park. We even left our car at the hotel and walked to the park.
