Staying at the Hotel Royal Ariston was gorgeous. The staff was always friendly, professional, and caring. The facilities were modern, and perfectly equipped, making it easy to relax and enjoy every part of our stay. From the beautiful surroundings to the warm hospitality, everything was just perfect. Fabulous Breakfast and dinner with stunningly beautiful sea view and sunset. The beach is definitely not for everyone — access is via ladders from the rocky shore, and it’s deep right away — but personally, I love it. There are many swimming pools. There is an excellent promenade with beautiful restaurants directly outside the hotel. It is a quiet resort where you feel safe and calm. Great location to get to the Old Town. We’re already looking forward to coming back again!

The hotel was amazing. It exceeded our expectations. We were there only for 2 nights but I regretted we didn’t plan to stay for a week or so. I booked the hotel with no expectations really and didn’t know it was an entire resort. Everything was amazing. You have few private beaches with sun beds and umbrellas that you can use free of charge. The sea by the hotel is perfect for snorkeling, you can go very deep 10m or so very fast but at the same time there is always rocks around to rest on. And there is plenty of fish in the sea :) I usually hate breakfasts at the hotels and I am very skeptical towards them, but here the breakfast was amazing with good quality products and free Prosecco available for grabs with your breakfasts. I guess that is because it’s a complex of hotels and one of them is 5* so you get the 5* treatments in the 4* hotel. Only a plus! There is a couple of restaurants and bars in the resorts plus few swimming pools, so you can really never leave the resort if you are looking for a perfect relaxing holidays. In the beginning I had a problem with the view from my room so our room got changed for the second night for one with a view I could like better :) good style! It was truly one of the best hotels I have ever been to!

We have lovely and amazing days at Royal Princes, Dubrovnik is such an incredible place! We were during summer so we got the best tanning and swimming into the blue Adriatic Sea. The service of the all staff (reception, bar, cleaning ladies) was excellent and kind; honorable mention to Danilo (Zoe Restaurant), Pavlao, Nenad and the lovely girl form Mexico during breakfast.

FAQs about hotels in Dubrovnik

The Pearl of the Adriatic

A medieval beauty full of magnificence and glory, Dubrovnik is surrounded by white stone walls. Located on the Adriatic coast of Croatia, this masterpiece is one of the most promising tourist destinations.

Passing through the imposing stone gate of Pile Gate, you will find yourself immersed in history. Take a walk in the narrow streets of this charming city, enjoy a cup of coffee in one of the colourful cafés, or order fresh fish in one of the outdoor restaurants.

Surrounded by turquoise waters, Dubrovnik Old Town sights include the picturesque Stradun, Onofrio fountain and the Franciscan monastery.

The city’s cable car will take you up to Mount Srd from where you can savour panoramic views over the treasures of this UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Buses connect Dubrovnik Airport with the city centre, and Booking.com offers a variety of hotels, apartments, and guest houses throughout.

Even though I was told that Dubrovnik is a touristy and crowded city, the end of August is one of the best times to visit. There are fewer people and the air is cooler (which is very nice for walking and swimming). Of course, the location of your accommodation matters. I loved everything about Dubrovnik and would happily go again. My personal highlights were the Old Town and the sightseeing viewpoint at the top of Dubrovnik (the cable car wasn't working, so we took a taxi, but you can also take a bus). Color of the water, fresh air, smell of the trees - just wow!

We spent 3x nights here. If you’re on a budget to include more of europe, maybe 2 nights would be enough to soak up the tourist parts of the old city and beaches for quick r&r, then transfer to an island like Korcula (2 nights). Be mindful of return ferries (leaving Korcula)becos they can be cancelled without you knowing. Do a day island hopping from Korcula .. well worth it. Beach umbrellas are way cheaper to hire than Dubronvik. Would definitely return to Dubronvik, but next time with friends.

Really enjoyed our trip to this city on the Adriatic Sea in southern Croatia. The old town is not only charming but full of history and off course the GoT link. You are not able to drive into the centre of the Old Town unless you have special pass so use Uber. The walk along the Stradun (central path) to reach the marina is a must and off course along the massive stone walls - it is expensive but well worth it - allow at least 2 to 3 hours, carry some fluids and a phone or camera to capture the astonishing views over the turquoise waters of the Adriatic Sea. We missed the cable car ride and took a scenic boat trip to view the walls from the sea and Lokrum island instead. Try out burek from Holy Burek - should be good enough for a lunch as it is not only tasty but very filling.

Dubrovnik is a wonderful place to visit, lots of interesting places to see in and around the City. The old Town itself was beautiful with the city walls surrounding the city so the views all around were amazing. I would definitely recommend people to visit. We ate in several of the restaurants in the town from Pizza to Pasta, mexican and local food, we did the Game of Thrones walking tour and also visited the Panorama restaurant on top of the hill via the cable car. Again this is worth a visit, just to see all the views. Also visited the island of Lokrum by boat which was worth a visit. All in all a fantastic holiday. Take comfortable shoes as lots of walking.

The hotel does not offer breakfast in it’s service but they are thoughtful enough to have a restaurant (Lani restaurant) with a wonderful and friendly team that offers a room service and delivers an À la carte breakfast at your doorstep
