Here’s a natural, conversational English version: ⸻ One of the best vacations we’ve had in the past few years — thanks to a beautiful new, spotless hotel, incredibly friendly staff, and the peaceful little town of Georgioupolis in Crete. The hotel sits right on a beach with super clean water — there’s literally a mountain spring flowing into the sea. The beach is well taken care of and everything is spotless. The staff went out of their way to make our stay as comfortable as possible — we’re so grateful to them for that! Our room was stylish, cozy, and had views of both the mountains and the sea. It was cleaned daily, and we got fresh water every day too. We had breakfast and dinner included — the buffet always had plenty of options, and Cretan food is delicious! We didn’t even use the pool because the sea was just perfect. We also rented a car and explored a bit of Crete. It’s definitely a place you want to come back to — and recommend to all your friends💖

I absolutely loved this hotel. The service was fantastic. Excellent location. The rooms were clean, front desk was courteous and overall the service was excellent. My rate included breakfast for two. The food was fresh, good portions and good selection on the menu. I would definitely stay here again.

    Beautiful village near the beach, with lots of places to visit and have breakfast , dinner, go shopping and so on. We visit Georgioupolis every year and always have a great time. It is not too crowded and you can always find things to do like go for a boat trip.

    Its fairly barren around the hotel. No other hotels. A lovely beach bar 50 m from the Oros Hotel. Apart from that you'd have to get a taxi to anywhere else. The views are stunning though over the hills and sea and the sunsets are fab. Wild goats making a nuisance of themselves, eating the hotels planting. There is a main road between the hotel and the beach but there is a tunnel under the road. It's not a big deal though. We didn't leave the hotel though other than the cockail beach bar.

    This is one of those places that is so full of tourists it doesn't feel like any greeks live here or visit. Avoid at all costs unless being surrounded by loud drunk people is your idea of a good time

    Small town with lots of accommodation of varying types and...

    Small town with lots of accommodation of varying types and prices, lots of tavernas and shops. Several supermarkets. Public bus service 10 minutes walk on the New National Road. Town beach occupied by the Corissa hotel and a local beach snack bar. beach stretches for miles to the east of town with much wider beaches and several excellent tavernas such as Margaritari which is about 8km from town. Beds here are free and the food is excellent.

    Georgioupolis is a lovely village with a square, a harbour and a beach. The square is surrounded by restaurants and bars which are open early until late, perfect for snacks and drinks during the day and a variety of menus in the evening. Situated between Reythmino and Chania for visits, plenty of walks in the surrounding countryside or laze on the beach. No nightclubs so more suited to families or those seeking a more quiet holiday. A choice of accommodations from 3- 5 stars owned by local Cretan people. Go there.

    Georgioupolis is a small seaside resort with two beautiful...

    Georgioupolis is a small seaside resort with two beautiful beaches - the colder Kalivaki and the main sweeping beach which is about 7km long. Both beaches are shallow and sandy so perfect for families. The chapel easily approached by a walk along the causeway is beautiful - a picture perfect instagrammable moment to enjoy. Some good restaurants in the village and a few sleepy shops provide all you need. There is easy access to Lake Kournas and it's tourist tavernas and pedalos via an energetic walk or take the seasonal tourist train. Walk along the long beach to the next resort of Kavros where there are more tavernas and bars to enjoy. We have been visiting the area for over 20 years and it is still a charming resort easily reached from the International Airport at Chania. Our favorite taverna is Nostos overlooking the bridge and harbour, but there are many others worth visiting too. Myth of the Lake, Georgia's and Kavalos Taverna are all up near Lake Kournas. Easy car hire from Ethon in town, and some lovely little bakeries/coffee shops that my kids love. Everything is accessible by foot, but if you hire a car then its worth looking at Rethymno for its beautiful harbour, old town and castle. Further afield you should visit Frangokastelo on the south coast- a fantastic castle on the sandy beach with Crystal clear water. Georgioupolis has accommodation for all budgets but it's quintessential Greece, so if you want beach discos then this is not the place for you. It's perfect for a relaxing getaway.

    The breakfast and dinner was really good. There were a variety of food and different restaurants with specific cuisines. I like the big pools and also the hotel looks really nice. The activities for kids were also amazing. The staff was really friendly, helpful and also caring. Their English and German is really good.

    Alkion family run apartments was a true find. Fantastic place, very clean & tidy, great facilities incl. a swimming pool, amazing view over the mountains and the sea. Dimitris is a fantastic host. Could not fault it. We stayed in room no.13. If I ever come to Crete again I will definitely stay here.

    This was a great location, with large rooms and very friendly and helpful staff. They rang the bus company to get the local airport bus to stop for us (that’s what you have to do in Crete, apparently!) and we’d definitely stay here again.
