We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Glykeria Hotel — a true gem in Crete! From the moment we arrived, we felt warmly welcomed and well taken care of. The host was incredible: always available, genuinely kind, and eager to help us with anything we needed. She went above and beyond to accommodate our requests and even helped us shape our vacation itinerary with local tips and recommendations we wouldn’t have found on our own. What makes this place even more special is that it’s a family-run business with a beautiful history that dates back to the grandparents. Hearing their story added such a personal, authentic touch to our stay. The rooms were lovely, clean, and comfortable, with an unforgettable view of the sea — we started each morning with coffee on the balcony, soaking it all in. (Yes, coffee was included in the room, which we really appreciated!) Although breakfast wasn’t included, we happily ate at their restaurant across the street every morning — everything was fresh, local, and absolutely delicious. In fact, we ended up eating all our meals there during our 3-day stay because the food was just that good. Every dish was a highlight, and you could really feel the love and care that went into the cooking. If you’re looking for a peaceful, heartfelt experience in Crete with great hospitality, views, and food — Glykeria Hotel is the place. We can’t wait to come back!

We absolutely loved our stay! The location was perfect—quiet and very convenient. What stood out the most was the incredible hospitality of the owners. They were so kind and even went the extra mile to bring us the shoes we had accidentally left behind to our next destination. Highly recommended, and if we ever return, we’ll definitely stay here again!

The view from the terrace was amazing. We also had two sun beds, umbrella and chairs on the terrace so we could sunbathe and watch the sunset there. We also enjoyed some beautiful dinners at sunset and breakfast on the terrace. The room was immaculate with room service cleaning every day. The bedsheets and towels were changed once every two days. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. The room was equipped with everything needed for cooking. There was a hair dryer and even hair straightener for the ladies. The cooking appliances in the room were new and clean. The main pool was very nice and clean. Generally the resort was well taken care of. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. As we stayed for a long period we received some welcoming and goodbye gifts.

The property is at an extremely calm location, very green and has a beautiful old tree in front. Our room was clean and spacious, bed and pillows were super comfy, bathroom was nice, too. We travelled all around Crete and loved it and this is one of the best places we stayed at. Excellent value for money!

I had the most incredible experience staying at this stunning villa near Elafonisi in Crete. The villa itself is spacious and beautifully maintained, offering plenty of room to relax and unwind. One of the highlights was the gorgeous pool, where I could enjoy breathtaking sunsets every evening—truly a magical experience! The location is perfect, just steps away from the shop and the best restaurants in the area, which made everything incredibly convenient. The host was absolutely fantastic. She went above and beyond to help me in every situation, making me feel welcomed and well taken care of throughout my stay. If you’re looking for the ideal place to stay near Elafonisi, I can’t recommend this villa enough. A perfect combination of comfort, beauty, and outstanding hospitality!
