It is a resort so not the place to go if you're looking for an historical old town. Beautiful beaches, good selection of tavernas serving gorgeous Greek food, bars, supermarkets, pharmacy and shops. The resort is big enough for choice but not too big and caters for all ages. We stayed for 11 nights and only ate in the same taverna once which was our choice but there were other tavernas we hadn't tried. Pefkos is now taking over from Lindos as a destination to enjoy the local Greek experience and food. Friendly people in all the bars and Tavernas. The big plus is it's cheaper than Lindos but just as good. It doesn't have the Acropolis but once seen...... We are both in our late 70s so the town scene was not for us,but sure it is ideal for many.We walked to and fro on several occasions to shops from our hotel perched on the side of a steepish hill. You can walk to the beach, to restaurants and the public bus stop where you can take the bus to several places on the island. The sunset view is breathtaking. Book a sea view room else you can end up disappointed in one of the rooms facing the next house wall. The place is clean, new’ish and not too big, has some nice areas to hang out and take your food outside BUT given the price you really get what you pay for. This is a Budget all inclusive hotel. The rooms are basic but have everything you need, great value for money! The beds were comfy and we enjoyed the pool area. The hosts were super nice and helpful which was a bonus. There are lots of cats surrounding the apartment, they are very sweet and only want food but if you’re scared of cats perhaps not the place for you.
