It is a resort so not the place to go if you're looking for an historical old town. Beautiful beaches, good selection of tavernas serving gorgeous Greek food, bars, supermarkets, pharmacy and shops. The resort is big enough for choice but not too big and caters for all ages. We stayed for 11 nights and only ate in the same taverna once which was our choice but there were other tavernas we hadn't tried. Pefkos is now taking over from Lindos as a destination to enjoy the local Greek experience and food. Friendly people in all the bars and Tavernas. The big plus is it's cheaper than Lindos but just as good. It doesn't have the Acropolis but once seen...... We are both in our late 70s so the town scene was not for us,but sure it is ideal for many.We walked to and fro on several occasions to shops from our hotel perched on the side of a steepish hill. Apartment was spacious, with balcony, clean and comfortable. Stella View was a great place to stay for a bargain week away, Tasos the owner is welcoming and friendly. Shared pool use with neighbouring apartments, complete with pool bar. Taxi cost around €10/15 each way). From hotel it’s around a 10 min walk to a really lovely beach and lots of lively bars/ restaurants. Around an hour to airport/old town/ water park so would recommend getting a car. Hotel was nice, room was cleaned every day, staff were nice. Always enough sun beds and snacks around the pool. Fortunately Pefki is protected by a natural "mountain firewall" from the fires and we were lucky as a result.
