This hotel is one of the best I have ever stayed in. Beautiful, comfortable with amazing views over the hills to the sea. The breakfast was a cornucopia of delights and eating it in the sun dappled courtyard was wonderful. The pool is lovely. All the staff were brilliant and welcoming. The fine dinning restaurant boasts bold reimaginings of Greek classics but I would recommend the Taverna in the next village (Amnatos) for hearty traditional Greek food. I cannot recommend enough

Hidden gem - Panormos is a vibrant seaside village with beautiful sandy coves and excellent food. Captain‘s house could not be better situated. The property was very clean. I could park in the olive grove in front of the hotel. Location was excellent for local on foot walks and also for visiting rest of Crete. Staff very helpful; we needed to wash our clothes and they did it for a very reasonable price. A very nice pool if you want to stay in and the kids loved it. Overall it was a very comfortable stay.

I stayed at Villa Stefania from September 17th to 20th and loved my room and the location. The breakfast was a bonus, and the pool was a refreshing treat. Stefania and Dimo, who manage the place, have beautifully maintained the heritage left by their father in a lovely vineyard. They are very nice and helpful, making you feel right at home.

Everything was great. We arrived a couple hours before check-in, we were kindly greeted, Manolis told about everything, offered to leave our luggage and we could even use the pool while waiting. The conditions were excellent, everything was new, there were all facilities, we felt like at home. They met us with a lot of Greek goodies, which was very nice after the road. Cleaning was done every two days, a very nice woman, thanks to her. If we come back to Crete, we would stay there again, thank you for everything.
