unforgettable time in Santopaz, absolutely recommendable. The house is beautifully embedded in the landscape and perfectly oriented for sunrise and sunset.     So beautiful and picturesque! Take lots of photos, you won’t regret it! Restaurants are a bit overpriced but there are plenty of other food options around. The tours are worth it so be sure to book something you’d like to see. A car to get around is best but the buses are so easy to use to tour the whole island!

    Oia is a romantic town with views that you will never forget. Ferries tend to arrive at similar times and with up to 5 cruise ships disembarking each day for day trips the town and roads leading to it can get incredibly busy. I would recommend it as part of an island hopping trip for a couple of days. It’s more of a couples destination than a family one

    This was our second time in Oia, and we still love it.

    This was our second time in Oia, and we still love it. The first time, we were there on a day trip. This time, we stayed for a week. The views are stunning. It was less crowded than we expected. It deserves to be called one of the most beautiful places in the Greek islands.

    The hotel is a 5-minute drive from Oia.

    The hotel is a 5-minute drive from Oia. We only ate out for dinner. On the first night, we had dinner in our room (they have a menu from a nearby restaurant with various types of meals). On the following two nights, we went to Meze Meze (recommended by Sofia) and on the last night we went to KooKoo. Both restaurants were very good. We went on a catamaran tour (recommended and booked by Sofia). We took the tour to watch the sunset. We visited the island with ease as we had a car. We went wine tasting (again recommended by Sofia). We visited the island's key spots—Fira, watched the sunset in Oia, visited the heart of Santorini, and visited several beaches.

    Oia is a gorgeous town in Santorini with beautiful caldera views. You can wind through the city to shop and eat and take in the scenery. It does get crowded during the day when the cruise ship guests are touring.

    Great place to stay with plenty of options to capture famous blue domes and sunset. Highly recommended renting a car/buggy/scooter or quadbike. Without a rental, you will be spending most of your time and money on taxi’s. All locations are easily reachable from Oia in 30-40 minutes. Oia beach is fine but nothing comparing to other famous beaches.

    Everything about Mare Nostrum Santo is fabulous! It is a small family run hotel just on the edge of Oia. Violet and Giannis are wonderful hosts and go above and beyond to make you feel welcome. They offer a good breakfast, a beautiful pool, and a very affordable car service to and from Oia and the airport. Also, you can get an uninterrupted view of the beautiful Santorini sunset from the rooftop without the crowds of people. I would not hesitate to stay here again Thank you, Violet and Giannis, for making our stay in Santorini so memorable.

    This hotel is perfect—here’s why: The terrace? Unreal sunset views. Sky turns into a pink/orange dream over the sea every night—worth booking for that alone. Front desk crew? Lifesavers. They walked me through bus routes step by step (marked stops, wrote Greek village names for drivers) so getting around was a breeze. And when I needed a sanitary pad, they handed some over with a smile—no fuss, just kindness. Rooms are clean, cozy, and full of Santorini charm. Can’t recommend enough—best stay of my trip!

    Location of the hotel is excellent...it is within walking distance to Oia sunset view point and blue dome, very close to amenities and bus stop to Fira. The hotel staff Stavros and Andreas were really helpfull, accomodating and friendly..they also have have good sense of humour....The communication chain was also great...Stavros was responded to our enquiry via email quite fast ..we choose a studio with a triple single bed, which is sufficient for our short stay in Santorini.

    The staff and the hotel is absolute stunning. Only short distance to Oia. Stravos was exceptionally helpful and the staff was great. The best priced hotel in Santorini. I highly recommend staying at Edem, they treat their guests so special. Welcome drinks were good too and the staff were accommodating the guests making them feel like home.
