Travelling around is easy with a good regular bus service which takes you to all the beautiful beaches. We enjoyed visiting St. George (Agios Georgios) Beach, which has shallow waters for young children Also, the Temple of Apollo was very nearby and has some amazing views. Our favourite part was taking a walk to the Castle (Kastro) in the Old Town . It's beautiful narrow cobbled streets with quaint shops along the way lead you to the breathtaking views when you reach the top. Remember to take a moment to absorb the views from this height. We loved our four nights and five days in Naxos and could easily have stayed longer. The city is perfect blend of culture, shops, restaurants, bar and nature. My teen daughter and I felt safe and loved the hospitality by everyone. So much to do too. Besides stunning beaches, villages, hiking, really amazing seafood restaurants to just walking around late at night. A lively port, beautiful beaches, the sunset at the Apollo is next level, a quaint little village, and felt safe with great bus services to lots of the different parts of the island.
