GermanyWe had a great stay at the hotel. We arrived quite late and only stayed for one night. We were greeted super friendly and felt welcomed from the first minute. Everyone from the staff was exceptionally friendly. It's super convenient if you arrive by car, since there are private parking spaces close to the room.
On the next day we had a great breakfast and continued our journey.

IT IS A VERY SERENE PLACE, WINTER TIME, THE LAKE HAD THE CHARM OF THE GREY COLOURS... GOOD RESTAURANTS AND TAVERNS NEARBY WITH GOOD LOCAL PRODUCTS AND ESPECIALLY BUFFALO MEAT AND DERIVED PRODUCTS. The lake in this locality is the attraction. There the locals raise buffaloes, a part of this lake resembles a delta. I saw turtles walking on the side of the road, storks, cormorants and other beautiful animals. I served the meal at FRAGMA. the areas looks a bit shabby. you need to organise activities before you arrive becasue the area was semi deserted. maybe it was the off season. also cleanliness is lacking. There are some waterfalls close and some thermal baths. kerkini needs better signagne as where to access the shore area. Sitting around the swimming pool is a must, plus drinks from the bar. In the morning, we ate a good buffet breakfast with dishes of our choice. Recommended is the excellent Espresso. We had a big Caesar's salad for lunch and then pasta with a good sauce. Fig icecream is excellent. In Lithotopos there is a pharmacy (we bought batteries there!) and a small store called Gatidis which offers beverages, sweets, snacks, water, juices etc. There is a tavern in the village where people were very kind giving us indications about the roads. Beautiful place, just perfect to relax with lake views, amazing scenery, nature all over, fresh air and great food. Don't forget to go horseriding, boat trip and eat traditional products from buffalo milk and meat.
