It really feels like paradise. It's on the edge of the island and the city with a breathtaking view and beuatiful enterier. The staff was welcoming and kind - I had a great chat with one of the receptionist; they gave us a parasol to the beach and a medicine for sunburn, without a word. It's very clean and we spent most of our time at the pool when we didn't feel like going to the crowdy beaches.

BananaHouse is the perfect stay in Kefalonia for more than one reason. Firstly the owners, Liverous, Nikki, Kostas, Joana and Dafne are the nicest family and the most perfect host that you can meet. They have a vegetable farm with organic grown tomatos and veggies that taste like childhood. Secondly the location, settled just a few steps near Lourda beach in natural shadows all around the house, where you can find a few tropical trees beside the bananas, there is papaya tree, orange and olive tree and a lot more, a little pieace of heaven. Thirdly the beach - Lourda beach has light blue colour is big with clear water and you can find sun beds or place where you can stay beside them. If you dont like big beaches right behind the path of the beach, there is another one almost empty with few turtle eggs nest. Also is a good starting point to explore the island. The house has a parking and right next to it a supermarket, also good coffee shops in one minute walking, tavernas and one of the best beer bar in the island (Platanos). The internet was very fast and stable. Hot water all the time. BananaHouse is a small jewel on the island. Just perfect!!!

We had a great time at House Kochyli! The house is beautifully decorated and has everything you may need. The hosts are the most lovely Greek people. The town of Poros is only a ten minute drive away. There we enjoyed spending time at the local beach and our sons especially appreciated the possibility to jump into the water from a diving board. Thank you very much Regina and Kostas for having us!!

The flat is very nice, clean, spacious and has many amenities such as coffee, toaster, iron, Netflix etc. It is in a very quiet area, the sofas outside are amazing for afternoon relaxation and the owner Kostas is very helpful. If you want a place to stay away from city is definitely worth it and recommend it.

The little house is very cozy and welcoming! It is situated in a quiet village and very well placed regarding the distances to the beaches in this part of the island and taverns. The owner, Elena, is very warm and helpful; after 3 days of staying we received fresh towels, shits and they cleaned into the house (we never had this type of facility when booking a house at this price, so it was a nice surprise), the yard was constantly kept tidy. We will definitely choose it again when we return to Kefalonia!

One of the best hotels I've ever stayed in. And brand new. Anna, the owner, who is an architect and also designed it, really thought of everything. It's a small hotel, with 5 units in front of a gorgeous pool. The units are huge and have everything- huge bedroom with very comfortable bed and huge smart tv, kitchen (with really all you'll need) and living room, separate toilet and shower, walk in closet, back balcony with an outside shower, and front porch with comfy poofs. Even the pool beds and poofs are amazingly comfortable. Everything was done so nice with such great taste. And in the morning you get a gorgeous breakfast served to your room. Anna and her husband were so nice. Wish we could have stayed longer but it was fully booked. We will definitely be back :)

Staff is incredibly friendly and helpful, doing everything they can to make your stay unforgettable. Breakfast is great (everything your heart could desire and more) and the hot tub on the balcony is a great perk, especially in spring time. Ability to they beds at the beach club is also a great perk (beds there are really comfy)

    Kefalonia is our favourite Greek island and we simply cannot...

    Kefalonia is our favourite Greek island and we simply cannot holiday anywhere else! The airport is low key, welcoming and efficient. Easy to get to any other part of the island from there. Plenty of pre-bookable hire car companies on site and within a few minutes' walk from the airport too. Stay south if you like sandy beaches or, like us, go north if you prefer white stone and shingle and the crystal clear Ionian water that comes with it! Kefalonia offers a bit of everything so perfect for those yearning for peace and tranquility as well as lively resorts who want more to do. Not sure if it's good for partying or clubbing though. Best to do your research. Book a sailing trip or ferry to Ithica to follow in Odesseus' footsteps, this is a must and you will come away with precious memories to last a lifetime.

    It's a beautiful Island rich with greenery and flowers. Extremely clean Very polite people. Lovely houses and beautiful Villas. Great beaches. An island that is not over crowded or commercialised like some of the other Greek Islands!! No fake/copies of designer clothes/bags/watches!! Pretty shops/boutiques and lovely cafes/bars and restaurants. Nice to see that the locals care so much about their island.

    A simply perfect destination - I traveled in Thailand and the East and all kinds of islands in Greece and Western Europe and it was simply a trip that exceeded all expectations - a combination of all the places and views taken from Thailand is simply perfect

    Kefalonia is peaceful and unspoilt.

    Kefalonia is peaceful and unspoilt. It is not packed with tourists and the pace of life is leisurely, great for a relaxing break. We enjoyed it so much in June we went back in September. The people are friendly and helpful and the views of the mountains and see are lovely no matter where you are on the island. If you a looking for noisy night life this is not the place for you but if you want to relax and unwind then this is the place to go.

    We first came to Kefalonia, last year, considering we NEVER go anywhere twice, we came back, the people on this island are lovely and very helpful, English is spoken everywhere, they will try to help if they can. The food is fantastic and a lot of choice, seafood, meat, vegetables etc., all very fresh. Local wine is very nice (Robalo) and of course Mythos beer ! And yes I think we would go back again.

    The villa is in a fantastic location, it is private and with spectacular views. Highly recommend, but advise having a car as the villa is isolated (neighbouring villas only)which adds to its charm. The taverna on St Thomas beach is great, steep walk down but very welcoming. Visit Argostoli to see the turtles in the port 😍 We will be back!
