Gialova is a lovely little seaside town. The pier and broadwalk offer a lot of choices for food and drink. Elia is a great place to eat. Their food is delicious and the prices are reasobable. Giavlova Cruises is an awesome company that offers trips around Navarino Bay and Gialova lagoon or if you would rather just go fishing you can make arrangements with them. I have known this place for a long time.
I have known this place for a long time. Amazing natural beauty and good for walking and swimming. Gilaova is expanding at a great rate which makes me sad but means it offers a lot of facilities and places to drink and eat but rather sophisticated instead of simple tavernas. Gialova is definitely worth visiting, clear waters, tasty food, shops, parking, smiley faces. Pylos is really close in case you feel the need to see and learn more. Gialova is an attractive village next to the sea.
Gialova is an attractive village next to the sea. It is not overdeveloped, so it is green and quiet and not too busy in early July. There is a pleasant beach, plenty of restaurants and a few small, general shops. There is a good range of provisions and good quality ice cream at Martins. For more facilities you can drive to Pylos which is about 15 minutes drive away (and a pretty little town). You are close to Voidokilia beach, Nestor's Palace and several waterfalls. It’s a 15 minute walk into Gialova down hill on a single track lane that has been concreted, we walked it every night, but most people were using their cars. This might be of some concern for some people, but it did work off some of the evening meal.
