The staff is really friendly. Ready to help for anything. Easily reachable. The bathroom, the room in general, is really clean and well decorated. The outdoor space is just amazing! You have to walk a little bit to get to the city centre, but it’s on a beautiful path going through olive trees, churches, old stones,.. it really is beautiful.

Centrally located, the units surrounded an attractive courtyard. The hotel had a great restaurant and a shop selling delicious home-made cakes sweets ice-cream and locally made produce -jams nuts liqueurs. We had our own private rear garden. The side entrance to the Anthousa Hotel lead to the main alleyway lined with shops and restaurants. Staff were very friendly and the unit was very clean and comfortable.

Only one word can describe our stay - PERFECT!! From the moment we arrived we were made to feel vey welcome and special- Zisis was an exceptional host. He provided advice on beaches to visit and the best places for restaurants. We were especially impressed with the advice for a Boat Trip around the Island. Breakfast was great and the Pool area is comfortable and relaxing. We will definitely return and highly recommend a stay in Petali Village.

Maria was an excellent host. The location had a stunning view and the rooms were very clean. Maria provided an exceptional breakfast as part of the room rate. Local breads, preserves, home baked local cake and pastry recipes, yogurt and honey, lemon juice from her own lemons. It was a highlight!

The location (& parking) was perfect, and was only a 5 minute walk to the center. The room is aesthetic and was cleaned daily. The host was also very helpful and friendly- he gave us all the inside tips for the island. Would highly recommend, and if I were to return to Sifnos, Esmeralda Apartments would be my first choice.

    Appolonia is a good base to explore the island.

    Appolonia is a good base to explore the island. You can take a bus to all the major beaches/towns from here. Appolonia itself is a sweet town with lovely, welcoming people. There are also a number of really nice shops along the main walking street and restaurants. Finally, if you plan to hike around the trails of Sifnos Appolonia is the perfect place to start from.

    Apollonia is a lovely town, and a really great base for exploring the island. The views are beautiful, there are great places to eat and drink, as well as shops selling local goods. It’s very close to a village which is full of ceramics workshops, and we loved visiting and meeting some of the potters and buying directly from them. The town is a short drive from pretty much every other place on the island. It has lovely views and is quiet and safe. It was my first time visiting and I’ll definitely return in future, Sifnos is my favourite Greek island that I’ve visited so far.

    Having visited many Greek islands and the Cyclades in particular I can say that Sifnos is a delight!! The village of Apollonia is typical picture perfect with traditionally winding streets with blue and white buildings and a church at every turn. Lots of boutiques with local wares and lots of amazing restaurants. There are good bus routes from Apollonia to other villages on the island and at just €2 a journey why hire a car. Perfect for the real Greek experience.

    The nightlife of Sifnos is concentrated in Apollonia. Here the famous alley the "steno" (narrow street) is home to commercial shops, restaurants, bars and clubs which are open until late at night!

They have many trails and we will be back, because we underestimated the many trails and the length of trails offered. You are in for an adventure. And, when we return, we too will be in for a continued adventure. This is an island and its people that you can fall in love with...

    The hotel is well located being only a short walk from the...

    The hotel is well located being only a short walk from the port and the beach. The bus stop to the village is across the road. We had a nice room with a large terrace overlooking the bay. However, the shower was small and we did not have hot water. The welcome was good but breakfast did not vary. Not everyone wants toasted cheese sandwiches and hard boiled eggs for breakfast every time. A choice of omelette or other eggs would have been appreciated.

    Maria was an excellent host, very warm and accommodating. Lovely breakfast provided on terrace every morning with views over the island. Easy walk into centre of Apollonia and Artemonas and easy access to buses and taxis. Bit of an uphill hike to reach the accommodation but the views are worth it! Very peaceful location. Looking forward to going back next year!
