Breakfast was included and the food was very good. The room was comfortable and no street noise. We had dinner a number of times and the food was superb, especially the lamb dish. The staff were friendly and we had some great conversations in particular with Mike and Kath who seemed to be the "in charge" people.

We loved our stay in Britannia Inn, staff was polite and very helpful. Breakfast and dinner was delicious and portions very generous. Spacious room but could do with bigger bed especially there is a room for it. Air con was a bonus! We will definitely go back in the future!

The best places to visit were Mevagissey and Charlestown, they both had an old world charm. Fowey was too commercialised and we failed to find somewhere to eat in Looe on Tuesday evening, which was surprising as it looked like a lovely place to spend some time.

St Austell town centre is dated and needs some TLC , but around the ring round is everything you need to make your stay great. Big Asda, lots of resteraunts, and the usual chains. There is some amazing beaches, countryside, walks in and around St Austell. And , it's a brilliant base for all things Cornwall, very well connected. Carlyon and Petewan beaches are fantastic. All in all, really good.

St Austell is a run down and neglected town hard to navigate and not much to see. Charlestown is a delightful harbor with a good choice of restaurants and bars a bit of a shame that the harbor is being worked on but it has to be done. Then further south you have Pentewan a beautiful beach within a holiday complex lots of activities for the little ones and a good beach cafe.

We wanted to visit the Eden project.

We wanted to visit the Eden project. This was the main reason for our visit. However there is a lot to do in this area especially when the weather is good. We visited Looe area. We would have liked to visit some of the lovely gardens in this area. We wish we had stayed another couple of days.

The location, garden, ambience and tranquility is awesome.

The location, garden, ambience and tranquility is awesome. The fact that I was likened to one of the cottage tea shop staff by an elderly caucasian male who presumably was a guest because of the colour of my dark skin wasn't pleasant at all.

Nikki, our host, was attentive and passionate about her home and business. She is such a friendly lady who loves a chat. She provides a very comfortable stay and a delicious breakfast. The Arches is perfectly positioned for Eden, Heligan, and the numerous beaches and harbours. Merlin, the adorable German shepherd, was an added bonus. This is not a boutique hotel and is dog friendly. The decor is to the owners taste.

The staff were great - friendly, welcoming, accommodating and efficient. We felt well looked after during our stay. We had dinner at the hotel a couple of evenings and thought the food was very good. The White Hart is an excellent base for visiting Heligan, Eden Project, etc. (especially for non-drivers like us) and when we weren't out and about we found the bar and lobby area a congenial spot to spend time.

Really nice room with all the facilities you would expect from a more expensive hotel, including an en suite shower/ toilet. Plenty of supplies to make hot drinks, cold water also available. Full breakfast included. Bed was comfortable and loads of channels to watch on the TV. Free wifi was good. Host was very friendly and even offered to pick me up from the station.
