London is a fabulous city full of great historical sites, culture, hidden places, and many neighborhoods to explore. Even with the good transportation - underground, busses, walking and trains it still takes some time to get around. When the guide guys tell you you can see 5 different sites/ neighborhoods in a day they are wrong. And they need to tell you that even though some sights are free- you need to book ahead online. I missed the British Museum because I would have waited in line without the reservation for 1 1/2 hrs at least. I was there a week and 3-5 more days would have been better. All in all, I got to see the highlights and some surprises. Westminster Abbey, lunch at the Red Lion,Downing Street, Trafalgar Square, The Mall, National Gallery, Buckingham Palace, changing of the Guards, Hyde Park, Tower of London, west End theatre - The Mousetrap, 2dinners at Harry’s across from the Clermont Hotel and 2 wonderful times just hanging at the parks near my hotel enjoying the peace. A couple of helpful apps for transportation are TfL go and National Rail. Downside was there were too many tourists in early August and it makes it difficult to maneuver the streets. I would love to come back maybe early spring or late winter❤️

Unfortunately I was one of millions that has suffered at the hands of a tube strike. Wrecked my 3 days and business/social activities through numbers of trapped/lost tourists, frustrated commuters, lack of buses, mega gridlock with all types of road vehicles and costly taxis delayed by road conditions. Where is the Mayor of London/Tfl? No support for the public Maybe the strikers will smile at the above I do not wish to visit London again and simply will fight to avoid any future business/social in our capital city and believe me I was in the vast majority stating similar. Perhaps driverless trains is the future. Maybe the above will wipe the smile off strikers faces.

There are plenty of places to see and things to do.

There are plenty of places to see and things to do. We are in our 70's so would advise one allocating two attractions per day and factor in a day off to recuperate after 5 or 6 days. Use your accommodation as a hub to reduce travel time. There are plenty of eating places but having Coeliac Disease, we found that a vegetarian or vegan diet was catered for abundantly on every menu but gluten free food choices were poor, often non-existent.

London is a great city with lots of attractions.

London is a great city with lots of attractions. The tube system is busy but convenient to get to most places without undue delay. My advice for a week in London would be to do a day (1) in the West End and take in a show. A day (2) Thames Uber boat down the river taking in Battersea, Westminster, Tower Bridge, Tower, Canary Warf and Greenwich. A day (3) doing the markets of Nottinghill and Camden. A day (4) doing Knightsbridge, Buckingham Palace, Trafalgar Square Oxford and Regent Steets and GreenPark and Hyde Park. A day (5) a trip to Henley on Thames via Windsor Castle and Maidenhead.

The location was excellent. The shops, the Tube, DLR are very close by and great if you fancy a short ramble. At no point did I ever feel unsafe with my child. Hotel pizzeria was delicious a little pricey but worth it. Bathroom shower pressure was like a power hose 👍🏻 Area outside was quite at night, leading to a good night sleep. IMO London hotels are expensive by continental standards, as I only wanted somewhere to put my head down. I went with one of the cheapest and got what I paid for.

Coming back to London regularly and having been to different apartments and hotels I can say this apartment was the best accommodation I have ever had. It was modern, absolutely clean, well equipped and well kept. The bed was extremely comfortable. The tube station is just a 2-minutes walk away. The area is nice and just a 20 minutes ride from Green Park. Everything in the building is modern and new. Getting in with all the information provided in advance was very easy!
