If my room 131 was not a broom cupboard boxroom With shower falling apart, dated shower unit rusted roller and very slippy in shower and no non slip mat in room. Door had dropped over half inch and difficult to get out of room. No fridge in room but they did supply after my protest. No bottle drinking water in room and when I mentioned the senior customer service staff told me there is a tap in kitchen where I could drink water. I felt insulted and discriminated. There is a nice shopping precinct, an excellent bus service and plenty of restaurants and a theatre. Sadly the gardens along the prom have gone the same way as many other seaside towns - no flowers just all-weather grasses. Eastbourne is lovely, access to the beach is easy. Lots to entertain the younger members of the family. Interesting variety of shops although street parking or multi-storey are quite expensive. Top tip - download the NCP app, parking is half price!Guest review byAnneUnited Kingdom - 6.0

Some good hotels and shopping but a lot of tired looking places needing a lick of paint. Beware of Traffic Wardens who were out at 8.00am Sunday morning checking vehicles had paid for parking. It has a huge shopping centre and plenty of places to eat and drink. A couple of theatres and a bandstand with musical events, weather permitting. A little train which was fun to ride and gave us a good view from one end of the town to the other. The staff are very friendly, the hotel is very comfortable, reasonably priced, and conveniently located opposite the sea front and within walking distance from the town centre, theatres, pier and bandstand. The hotel has lift access to all floors. Plenty of available parking on the sea front with free parking for blue badge holders. We stayed for breakfast which was excellent.
