We loved the decor, the atmosphere and the food were wonderful. The Inn is peaceful with the sound of running water from the stream. Staff are helpful but not obtrusive. The food is amazing, we dined in both nights to sample more of the menu. Very diverse breakfast menu. The building is ancient but the rooms are well decorated with lovely modern bathrooms. The whole place is charming. I would recommend the Inn to anyone.

We have stayed here before , this trip of five days , was extended by a further two nights The management and staff of this homely hotel know their craft. The aim is to make the visitor / client comfortable…..ready for work or pleasure. The rooms are spot less , the beds ..large And the breakfeast alone I’d worth the trip up north ha ha …. We will be back . Eric

It was a beautiful place and the staff couldn't do enough for us. We asked if we could order takeaway, and we could. We asked for an extra sheet because we get too warm with the quilt, not a problem. We got lots of ice for drinks, plates, and cutlery. I couldn't carry everything, including our takeaway, so the manager came up with me and carried some of the stuff up. Nothing was too much for them. We will definitely be back again soon.

    The upside down layout made the most of the spectacular view...

    The upside down layout made the most of the spectacular view. The kitchen was well equipped. The shower was good and the shower room had plenty of room. Really nicely furnished throughout. Comfy bed, good duvet and towels. It was very hot during our stay so the covered parking area for the car and access to the garden were appreciated. Wonderful location.
