A beautiful building set it a large, peaceful garden. It had a relaxed and homely feeling, helped by the warm, friendly attention that we received from the owner,Amanda. Lovely bedroom with wonderful views over the garden and surrounding countryside, and the breakfast was served in a room with garden view. Charminster is a small village in Dorset.
Charminster is a small village in Dorset. The village has a characteristic Old English atmosphere and is full of charming historic cottages. We ate at the Sun Inn and at The Gamekeeper - both are excellent. As long as you have a car, it's easy to get around. Charminster is only a small village and the only facility is...
Charminster is only a small village and the only facility is the Sun Inn which was excellent for evening meals. The Inn is only a short distance from Little Court. Charminster is only a short distance from Dorchester which has a lot of facilities both attractions and places to eat. It was unfortunate that during our stay the road into Dorchester was closed due to roadworks and the diversion route was quite long.Guest review byMichaelUnited Kingdom

The accommodation was very comfortable, with beautiful grounds to walk around and relax in. Amanda was an excellent host—warm, welcoming, and attentive throughout our stay. The hotel’s location was ideal, just a short distance from Lulworth Cove and Durdle Door, making it a great base for exploring the stunning Dorset coastline. Our room was very comfortable, clean, and well laid out in terms of the bed and furniture. We had a good night's sleep in a very comfortable bed. Amanda our host greeted us warmly and looked after us well. Her recommendation of the Sun Inn as a good eating place was spot on - an excellent carvery and tasty desserts.
