Bushmills is an historic town, not only home to the eponymous whiskey, it is at the heart of the stunning North Antrim Coast with all its amazing attractions. It is also becoming a bit of a foodie hub with several fabulous restaurants such as The Townhouse and Tartine. Magden specialist cheese and coffee shop is a local icon. Bushmills Inn is a must. Splash out on an Irish coffee if the budget does not run to dinner or a stay. Mike’s cafe does excellent hearty daily roasts as well as Thai specials. Excellent Gallery and Craft shops. Bushmills is a lovely place to visit. Suppose it’s not much more than a Main Street, but there are many nice eateries, and a walk along the River Bush is lovely - you may even see the fish jumping in the water! Bushmills is a charming small town just minutes from the Giants Causeway, with beautiful rocky beaches nearby, several delightful pubs in town, and of course the Old Bushmills Distillery. The tour was a fascinating view into how whiskey is made and distributed. This was our first visit to Northern Ireland and the North Coast, and Bushmills was a highlight. Quaint little town with choice of three convenience stores for essentials. Well paced for all tourist attractions on the Causeway Coast. Bilberry Mill Cafe is highly recommended for a variety of meals and caters for gluten free; also Flash in the Pan Fish and Chips. Bushmills has lost a couple of pubs in recent years, but still has everything you could wish for in a small town. The walk to the Giants Causeway (along the tramway) is beautiful and takes a little over 1 hour. The Giants Causeway is spectacular and a must visit. Property was very clean and well maintained. The garden was a lovely place to sit overlooking the Bushmills Distillery, which was a 5 min walk away. Property was well stocked with every utensils you could think of, except a potato masher - but we survived lol. Fabulous little home, that was extremely comfortable.
