The location is excellent if you enjoy being in the middle of everything! The sound proofing in the rooms is very good so you can't hear a thing from the busy streetlife or traffic outside. Very comfortable beds and good lighting in the room. At least, the corner room has a bathroom separated with opal glass walls in the room (no sound proof, for example) - this was ok for us, being an established couple, but might be disturbing for other types of companies. The city is beautiful full with many cultural interests even in walking distance and going around with citybikes is cheap, easy and wonderful - especially along Canal du midi. All kinds of shopping just steps away from your door! The hotel staff is lovely and warmest thanks to them all for bearing up with us practising our skills in French! Breakfast is served in a small room which felt a bit cramped at busy times but is so well-organised it didn't bother. Breakfast included a few options of yogurt, fresh fruit salad and whole fruit, boiled eggs and of course tasty, fresh baguette in addition to the normal continental breakfast. Also, a nice variety of tea is offered and home baked cake or pie. Warmest regards to the lovely 'breakfast lady'! We'll be coming back!

France’s 4th largest city, Toulouse abounds with beautiful red-brick buildings that have earned it the nickname Pink City. The focal point is Place du Capitole, a large square lined by restaurants and the grand Capitole building which is spectacularly lit at night. Equally impressive at night is the Pont-Neuf, a 16th-century bridge spanning the Garonne River.

This remarkably green city has many tree-lined boulevards and parks offering shade. It has a laidback, almost alternative vibe, perhaps due to its huge student population. The cuisine is also fantastic – try the regional duck and the cassoulet.

Must-see Toulouse sights include the UNESCO World Heritage-listed, 10th-century Basilica of Saint Sernin and the Georges Labit Museum, a fascinating collection of Asian and Egyptian artefacts. Record-breaking Stade Toulousain rugby union club is also based here – catch a match to experience the Gallic passion.

Out by Lasbordes Airport is Cité de l’Espace, a space-themed amusement park, particularly suited to young children. Another aviation-related feature is the city’s main industry - the Airbus-EADS factory, just north of Toulouse Blagnac Airport.     We stayed in the Grand Hotel de l’Opera which right by the Place du Capitole, great location for exploring the city by foot. Lovely pedestrian square with numerous restaurants and bars, would highly recommend La Bibent for dinner.

    We really liked Toulouse - it is an underrated City.

    We really liked Toulouse - it is an underrated City. Lovely culture and lots to see and do. A great place for fashion shopping. We enjoyed our gastro and walking history tour with our guy and his bike. It was excellent value for money.

    Rooms are spacious with kitchenet and utensils. View from the room was very good as I stayed at 9th floor. Staffs are very co-operative. Lift is under maintenance but operative. It has small gim too, which serves the purpose of doing exercizes. On the 2nd floor it also has common cofee/tea maker machine. The location of the propery is very convenient for the main city and approchable to metro and main railway station. I recommend it.

    Toulouse is a beautiful city with plenty to do and much to see. I really enjoy how walkable the city is and I am a fan of the narrow walkways and side streets that feel like going back in time. There is so much history and, energetically, it is quite the welcoming city. I highly recommend going to Kumo Sushi and La Fabrique: Bricoles et Spiritueux. The food was incredible!

    Everyone was so very friendly.

    Everyone was so very friendly. Gorgeous city to wonder around. Lots of great food, well priced. LOTS of pasties😍We didn't do any shopping. We went to see the city and enjoy the atmosphere. I really did love my stay here. Definitely recommend going.

    Wonderful city, great to walk around the old town, bridges...

    Wonderful city, great to walk around the old town, bridges and squares. Beautiful old churches and medieval castles and convents. Fantastic food everywhere we visited. A very vibrant and young city with plenty of bars, cafés, restaurants etc. Also, perfect for a day trip to Carcasson with the train from Matabiau station. This was quite spectacular visit. Another visit highlight: the Airbus tour in Toulouse. Interesting, learned a lot and it was a fun morning overall with an excellent restaurant at the end of the visit. Public transport is great, frequent and cheap: buses, tram, metro and the train for trips out of the city (such as Carcasson, about 1 hour away). Also bicycles to rent everywhere. Toulouse was a revelation, certainly worth a 4-5 days visit.

    I stay in these hotels quite often so I know what to expect. Reasonable size room, small but functional shower, comfy bed. Staff were very friendly. Breakfast is always the same but its very edible with lots of choice. Position of the hotel is perfect for the centre of Toulouse. Far enough out to be very quiet yet within walking distance of the centre. Parking was easy too and free. You could pay for their underground parking if there were no spaces left. Access to the room is by a code number which I really like.

    We stayed in Toulouse at the end of a stay in Southwest France by chance as the TGV trainline to Paris was damaged by severe storms and we could not get back to the UK as planned. It was very last minute but we liked the reviews and wanted a reasonably priced Hotel until we could get a flight back home. This was exactly what we hoped it would be. Lovely staff and small Hotel. Great area for restaurants and pubs just minutes away.

    I lived in a studio that was functionally furnished, planned and aesthetically pleasing, and it was superclean at arrival. The location of the hotel was very close to the trainstation, local busses, subway and airport shuttle, it was also on a walking distance to most places in central Toulouse. There were several supermarkets, cafes and restaurants nearby. It was quiet and I slept well. The TV had a big screen (I think HighDef).

    Simple hotel, clean and quiet rooms. For the first night of our trip further south-west into the Pyrenees foothills this was a good overnight stop, having flown into Toulouse and arrived early evening, easy to find from airport in our hire car and easy walking distance to restaurants and bars. So much better than staying in a business hotel on the periphery. Parking in the street alongside was easy as well.
