It is just a very nice place. Very professionally and completely renovated. The apartment is not only tastefully decorated but is also fully equipped. The town is small but pleasant and the surroundings are stunning. Great place to stay. We would have stayed longer if possible.

This was a very lovely stay. The hosting family were extremely welcoming and helpful, and the location is splendid, nestled in the mountains, with a swimming pool and hiking trails right outside the studio. The place is very comfortable and the breakfast is excellent. Fantastic value!

This is a ground floor apartment in an old school. The style is kept simple and it was exactly what we needed. The apartment is spacious, with a combined kitchen-living room, a bedroom, shower and separate toilet. In the morning, the front of the house is in the shadow and we enjoyed having breakfast at the picnic table there. Later in the morning, you can sit at the side of the house and enjoy the wonderful view over the fields. The location is very quiet and perfect for walks in the Morvan. Heleen is a great host. There is a starter pack to get you going for your first breakfast. One day she brought us ice-creams (we were there during a heat wave)!

We stayed four nights as a family of four. The chalet is simply furnished and located just on the outskirts of the small town. The public swimming pool had alas closed the day before in preparation for the return to school. There are a number of other wild swimming spots a short drive away. This is deep France. The local population, and your neighbours if staying, are cows. There are a few restaurants and shops in Etang, otherwise head into Autun for a wider selection of places to eat and such. Overall this was a very relaxing place to stay with wonderful night skies. The coffee maker provided is the Senseo system so do bear that in mind. The only other negative was the quality of the pillows provided but France, despite my love for it, has never really appreciated the comfort and pleasure of abundant, fluffy pillows! Bah.

Amazing swimming lake. Very beautiful campsite full of flowers and animals. True touch of nature. Very peaceful place. I don’t have kids but I can imagine they would have a great time at the camp site.

Excellent location close to everything, but still with a lovely countryside view out our back window. Much more modern room than we expected. Our bikes were locked safely in the gas heating room. Staff were friendly and helpful. Our room was large and very comfortable. Bed was very comfortable, with an extra blanket and pillows if needed. There was an elevator. Air conditioning worked reasonably well.
